“A storyteller who was taken to the royal palace to entertain the sultan and the queen. She tells stories every day, but having run out of material, she wants to borrow books from Wiz the librarian.
Her dream is to escape from Areda, leave Ariant, and see the wider world. She also says she would love to meet Wiz, the librarian of Helios Tower, in person.
When that day comes, I should ask her, 'How have you been lately?'”

• Schegerazade is a reference to Scheherazade, a character from the Middle Eastern folktale collection One Thousand and One Nights. Similar to her basis, Schegerazade is kidnapped by Ariant's Queen Areda and forced to entertain her with stories.
