Originally a prosperous city that utilized Rue Ore as a source of energy, in recent times the Black Wings have occupied the city, filling it with an atmosphere of oppression.
Edelstein is a continent under control by the Black Wings, set near the mines. Despite the new rule, citizens have secretly rebelled and formed the Resistance to counterattack the Black Wings. It also consists of a mine where the Black Wings Scientist Gelimer has set up a research laboratory. Edelstein encompasses the towns of Edelstein and Scrapyard. Resistance characters (including Demon and Xenon) start here upon creation, with their introductory questline centered around Edelstein. This continent can be accessed via airship by talking to Ace the Pilot at either Victoria Tree Platform or Orbis.

Towns / Regions
Edelstein
Edelstein's town is populated by both the regular citizens (some of whom are secretly members of the Resistance) and various Black Wings watchmen. Albert, the former Council President, was deposed from his position by the Black Wings, who also kidnapped his daughter Gabrielle to keep her hostage in the Verne Mine. The Black Wings replaced him with the current Council President Anthony, who acts in the best interest of the Black Wings. Accessible via a hidden portal in Edelstein City Hall lies the Silent Crusade's Supply Warehouse and secret base. A Taxi affiliated with the Black Wings is also located here that can take players to Mine Entrance or Haven for 10,000 Mesos (3,000 if you possess a Black Wings Hat).
Edelstein is divided into four sections: Resistance Headquarters, Edelstein Park / Strolling Path, Road to the Mine, and the Verne Mine. The monsters here vary from plants, patrol robots, signs, Boulder Munchers (small rock golems), and more. The Park and Strolling Paths both contain various secret meeting spots where the Resistance meet to have private discussions away from the Black Wings' surveillance.
At the beginning of the Road to the Mine is the watchman Stephan, who sells
Black Wings Hats to players who wish to enter the Verne Mine. He allows players to choose between either 100,000 Mesos or 30
Patrol Robot S Memory Chips as payment.
The Road to the Mine also contains a few secret portals. The first secret portal, accessible by Xenon only and located at Road to the Mine 1, is to the now-Forgotten Laboratory, where Gelimer once conducted his Xenoroid Project, where he kidnapped two Beryl children from Edelstein and erased their memories to turn them into powerful cyborgs over many years. After Xenon's memories started to resurface upon meeting Claudine, he escaped with the Xenoroid Roo-D on a journey to recover his memories, leading to Gelimer abandoning the laboratory. The second secret portal, located at Road to the Mine 2, contains a special device that allows one to travel from Edelstein directly to Six Path Crossway in Victoria Island with special
Black Wings Tokens. Normally the portal is restricted to Black Wings management, but a player can convince the guard Harry Lion to grant them a few tokens in exchange for eliminating Big Boulder Munchers at his request.
Verne Mine
Edelstein's Verne Mine is a major sub-area in the region, where the Black Wings have set up their base, making use of the Power Plant and Rue Ore for their research. At the Mine Entrance is a guard who will not allow access to outsiders, which is why players will need a Black Wings Hat (this requirement can be bypassed using the World Map UI, Maple Guide, or Secret Path). Within the mine are various high-ranking Black Wings Officers, Researchers, and Guards, including one who is guarding the hostage Gabrielle.
The Verne Mine is divided into two sections: Verne Mine Shafts and Gelimer Research Lab. The monsters here vary from guard robots, raccoons, spiders, bears, security systems, and androids. In the laboratory is where Gelimer conducts various cruel and unethical experiments on the monsters in the area.
Scrapyard
- Main article: Scrapyard
Scrapyard, also known as Haven, is located near the ruins of the Black Heaven, where the rebel androids have taken residence. Some monsters from the Black Heaven are still lurking and patrolling the area, not aware that the Black Heaven has served its purpose. Players can complete Weekly Quests and fight the Major Boss Lotus here to obtain Level 160 AbsoLab Weapons, Gloves, Boots, and Capes.

A traveler was called to Edelstein by Headmaster Ferdi, who asked them to help the townspeople being oppressed by the Black Wings. In Edelstein, the traveler helped the former Council President, Albert, deliver clothes for his daughter, Gabrielle, who was being held hostage by the Black Wings in the Verne Mine. The traveler then helped Gabrielle's brother, Von, infiltrate the mine to rescue Gabrielle. However, Gabrielle told them that she would remain a hostage so that the Black Wings wouldn't retaliate against the townspeople if she were to escape. Nevertheless, she gave them a document containing important information that she had gathered about the Black Wings' operations during her capture. The traveler brought the documents to the Resistance, who learned that Gelimer was attempting to create a superhuman creature through human experimentation, science, and magic for Orchid, whom they learned was the founder of the Black Wings.
Trivia
- The term "Edelstein" is derived from Edelstein, the Yiddish and German word for gemstone.
