Arcana, the Mysterious Forest is the fourth major area in the Arcane River. After escaping Lachelein, the player is drawn into Arcana by a strange vortex of light, where they discover that a mysterious stranger has corrupted the forest spirits. The player must help the spirits of Arcana bring back the song of the forest and heal the corrupted Spirit of Harmony.

This region can be accessed on foot via Lachelein Canal by talking to the Flying Fish. It is generally divided into three sections: Forest Entrance, Heart of the Forest, and Cavernous Cavern, with each section being unlocked as you progress through the questline. Each section requires a certain amount of Arcane Power to deal normal damage to the monsters here, with Forest Entrance requiring 280, Heart of the Forest requiring 320, and Cavernous Cavern requiring 360. The final boss for this area is the Corrupt Spirit of Harmony, the protector of the forest who has been corrupted by Tana.

Completing the questline will reward the  Arcane Symbol: Arcana. In addition, Daily Quests are unlocked alongside the weekly Arcane River Special Content Spirit Savior, both of which grant additional Arcane Symbols that can be used to upgrade your main symbol.

All Lachelein, Arcana, and Morass monsters (excluding Flying / Anti-AFK monsters) will drop  Arcane River Droplet Stones at a very low chance. In Heroic Worlds, these are also sold for 50,000,000 Mesos each at General Store NPCs in Lachelein and above Arcane River areas, up to Limina. Arcane River Droplet Stones and  Butterfly Droplet Stones (dropped by Lucid) can be exchanged for  Phantasma Coins at a 9:1 ratio by talking to Kanto in Lachelein Main Street or Trueffet Square, and these are subsequently used to purchase Level 200 Arcane Umbra Weapons, Gloves, Boots, and Capes from Dimo.

The Adversary continued on the Flying Fish until they were caught in a mysterious vortex, causing them to land in the mysterious forest of Arcana. There, they learned that the forest had been corrupted by a mysterious stranger, whose mere presence had transformed the Erda spirits of Arcana into monsters. The Adversary helped the spirits restore harmony to the forest, after which they were presented with the Arcane Symbol of Arcana. The Adversary then proceeded ahead on the Flying Fish. Meanwhile, the Alliance began finishing preparations for the fleet to enter the Arcane River, with the White Spear being its massive flagship. Elsewhere, Empress Cygnus continued to train her Transcendent powers in order to become strong enough for the final battle.

• The term "Arcana" is the inflection of the Latin word "Arcanus", meaning "mysterious".
