Zipangu is a World Tour continent based on Japan. It consists of five areas based on real-life time periods / locations in Japan: Mushroom Shrine, Showa Town, Ninja Castle, Tokyo, and Momijigaoka.

This region can be accessed via Perry at Victoria Tree Platform.

Towns / Regions

Mushroom Shrine

Main article: Mushroom Shrine

Mushroom Shrine is based on the various real-life Shinto shrines in Japan. It is filled with cherry blossom trees, and has a view of Mount Fuji in the background. It serves as the focus for the Mushroom Shrine Tales questline, allowing players to unlock and expand their Threads of Fate as they progress through the questline.

Showa Town

Main article: Showa Town

Showa Town is based on Japan's Showa period, with monsters based on the Yakuza that roam the streets wielding guns, swords, baseball bats, and bricks. Many of the citizens are in debt due to the Fire Raccoon Finance Office, where the Yakuza gives out monetary loans and forces the citizens to pay them back with high interest rates.

Ninja Castle

Main article: Ninja Castle

Ninja Castle is based on Japan's Edo period. Various monsters in the form of low-tier to high-ranking ninjas appear, as well as a toad that is impersonating the town's Daimyo. Ninja Castle contains a Party Quest / Dungeon which is accessible by talking to Baetan at Ninja Castle Corridor inside the castle.

Tokyo

Main article: Tokyo

Tokyo is based on Japan's capital city of the same name. Players can access Kabukicho, a red-light district based on the real-life Kabukichō district, and Tocho, based on the real-life Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building.

Momijigaoka

Main article: Momijigaoka

Momijigaoka is based on Japan's Sengoku period. After Oda Nobunaga's failed Demon King Ritual, large swaths of Hinomaru ends up transported to Maple World. The great lords would establish a base nearby named Momijigaoka,, where they would form an alliance in order to find and stop Nobunaga once and for all.

  • In all non-KoreaMS servers except JapanMS, only some regions in Zipangu are available:
    • GlobalMS and MapleSEA: Mushroom Shrine, Showa Town, Ninja Castle, Momijigaoka
    • ChinaMS and TaiwanMS: Mushroom Shrine, and Momijigaoka
