Though dangerous monsters roam their hunting grounds, the hidden dungeons' long histories and mysterious treasures draw brave adventurers, ready to challenge them time and again.
Sleepywood is an area in central Victoria Island. It is a calm, silent place surrounded by swamps and ruins.
This region can be accessed on foot via Six Path Crossway, as well as via the Regular Cab in Victoria available in all major Victoria Island towns. It is divided into four sections: Swamp, which contains the low-ranking Copper Drakes and leads to multiple caves, Dark Cave, the location of the Ant Tunnel Square, home of mushrooms that have been brought back to life by undead talismans, Drake Cave, which contains stronger Drakes and becomes colder and eerier as you venture further inside, and Cursed Temple, which has Wild Kargos and minotaur-like creatures guarding the Jr. Balrog. A side path also leads one to where Lord Balrog has been resurrected from the darkness. Both Root Abyss and Dark World Tree are accessible from the Swamp.
Completing Chrishrama's quest [Sleepywood] Danger Seeker, which requires completing the main Sleepywood quests in the area, will reward the Medal
Danger Seeker. In addition, 10 maps can be visited to obtain the Medal
Sleepywood Explorer. The Major Boss Balrog can be fought here. In addition, a few field bosses can be encountered here: Zombie Mushmom, a giant undead mushroom, Snack Bar, a suspicious food stand found at the end of the Drake Cave, and Jr. Balrog, a devilish creature found at the end of the Cursed Temple.

Trivia
- Sleepwood seems to based on the jungles of Cambodia. The ruins located in Sleepywood prior to the Big Bang Update were possibly based on Angkor Wat.
- Before the Big Bang Update, KoreaMS originally had several World Tour areas, namely Zipangu, The Far East, Taiwan, and Thailand. In 2009, KoreaMS removed these areas and added some of the field bosses to certain locations in Maple World. Snack Bar, originally from Taiwan's Night Market, was placed in Sleepywood, with the original Monster Book description reading as follows:
- Deep inside Victoria Central Dungeon, you can find a famous Mobile Store owner selling his goods to all who journey there. But even deeper inside the dungeon, rumor speaks of an unidentified Snack Bar that has opened up shop... The peculiar thing is that no one has ever seen the person operating the Snack Bar. In any case, the Mobile Store owner in the Ant Cave seems quite bothered with the thought of having competition.
