Professions, also known as Production Skill in the UI, is a system that allows players to craft and extract items. There are 5 professions: Herbalism and Mining are harvesting professions that allow you to obtain Herbs and Ores respectively, while Alchemy, Accessory Crafting, and Smithing are crafting professions that allow you to convert Herbs and Ores into specific items and equipment, where some items can only be crafted by first obtaining a recipe. Professions also allow players to extract equipment and specific usable items into crafting materials.
Crafting is only possible within Ardentmill. Players Level 100 and above who have completed [Profession] The Professional can unlock the 5 professions by speaking with their respective master artisans. Zero players, instead, unlock them by speaking to Dello after completing Chapter 4 of their story. Doing so fully unlocks the Production Skill UI, displaying mastery progress for each profession and the player's fatigue.
Mastery
Each profession has a mastery level, which can be increased by harvesting and crafting items. The maximum mastery level is 10 for Herbalism and Mining, and 12 (Master Craftsman and Meister levels) for Alchemy, Accessory Crafting and Smithing. When reaching 100% mastery at a particular level, players can speak to the master artisan to level up at a Meso cost.
