Story
Heliseum Force
Many decades after the fall of Heliseum, the Nova continued living in Pantheon, whose borders were safeguarded by the Protective Shield generated by the four Nova relics. Growing up in Pantheon, Velderoth became friends with a boy named Kyle and a girl named named Tear, who had been shunned by the Nova for having been born without magic or a tail. Together, they became the Heliseum Force and trained every day in order to become strong enough to take back their capital.
Kaiser's Awakening
Velderoth and Kyle soon became knights, bringing them one step closer to realizing their dream. One day, Kyle sensed that something was wrong at the East Sanctum while training. There, the three encountered strange priests whom they had never seen before approaching the relic. Velderoth decided get reinforcements and told Kyle and Tear to keep an eye on the priests, though he warned them not to play hero.
Velderoth rushed back to Pantheon and informed Fenelle and Cartalion about what had transpired. He led them both back to the East Sanctum, where they were shocked to find Kyle and Tear unconscious, as well as the priests defeated. Just then, they noticed the emblem of Kaiser glowing over Kyle, causing them to realize that he had awakened as the next Kaiser.
Soon after Kyle's awakening, he met with Velderoth in order to ask where Tear was. After informing Kyle that Tear was at the hideout, Velderoth decided to head to the hideout soon after, where he suggested that they have a hunting match. The two competed to collect Laloong Tails, which Kaiser easily managed to win with his new powers. Having been beaten by Kyle for the first time, Velderoth's pride was hurt and he sarcastically claimed that he should have known better than to challenge the great and powerful Kaiser before storming off.
Meeting Angelic Buster
Shortly after, Velderoth was approached by Angelic Buster. Unaware that she was really Tear in disguise, Velderoth grew enamored by her beauty. Angelic Buster asked him whether there was anything that she could help him with, to which he stammered that she could take care of the Limestone Tokkas, which she defeated at his request.
Invasion of Pantheon
After the Nova successfully repelled Magnus' invasion, Kyle proposed a plan to lure the Specters into the town before activating the Protective Shield, thereby wiping them all out at once. Just as Kaiser's plan succeeded, Magnus appeared at the outskirts of Pantheon. Velderoth rushed to the scene, where he found Magnus confronting Kaiser and Angelic Buster, praising Kaiser for his cunning plan.
Kaiser told Magnus that he had no power inside the Protective Shield and claimed that it was over. However, Magnus simply laughed and told Kaiser that he was nothing compared to his predecessor. As the three moved to attack, Magnus easily managed to defeat them, even while weakened by the Protective Shield's magic. Just then, Cartalion arrived and immediately summoned reinforcements to capture Magnus. However, Magnus told Cartalion that he wasn't in the mood for another fight and quickly retreated.
Leaving Pantheon
A wounded Velderoth returned to the hideout, terrified after witnessing Magnus' power. Soon after, Tear arrived at the hideout and began consoling Velderoth about the battle. Just then, Kaiser arrived and found Tear and Velderoth, who was shaking with fear. Upon seeing Kaiser, Velderoth began mocking him for losing to Magnus, claiming that Kyle wasn't a hero like the Nova believed.
He then added that Kyle had only beaten him in their hunting match because of his new powers, and that Kyle had always been weaker than him before awakening. He bitterly wondered why Kyle had been chosen as the next Kaiser, believing that it should have been himself instead because of his superior strength, adding that Kyle had been handed out free power that he didn't deserve.
As Kaiser began to retort, Tear told him to leave Velderoth alone. Kaiser then asked if she was alright, as she had several bruises on her, but Tear lied and explained that she had merely tripped. As the two began to joke around together, Velderoth became even more furious at their casual attitude and decided that he was leaving the Heliseum Protector Vanguard, claiming that it had been a worthless group in the end. Believing that he had no future in Pantheon, he stormed off and left the city in search of power.
Joining Magnus
Bitterly jealous of Kaiser and his powers, Velderoth traveled to Heliseum and sought out Magnus, to whom he swore his allegiance in exchange for the power to defeat Kaiser. Under Magnus, Velderoth became the third Guardian of Heliseum alongside Victor and Treglow, replacing Edea. Velderoth took residence in Tyrant's Castle, where he protected one of the three seals required to open the path to the throne room.
Siege of Heliseum
During the joint operation between the Nova and the Maple Alliance to retake Heliseum, Velderoth led the Specter army to confront Kaiser at the city border. Kaiser immediately transformed into his ultimate form and confronted Velderoth. Velderoth called Magnus ‘Lord Magnus' and told Kaiser that he had sought out Magnus after seeing how easily he had defeated them, adding that unlike Kaiser's unique awakening, Magnus could bestow power to anyone.
Kaiser tried to reason with Velderoth, but his old friend refused to listen, instead challenging him to single combat and claiming that he would leave with his Specters if Kaiser could best him. After a fierce battle, Velderoth acknowledged Kaiser's strength and retreated, promising that he would soon deliver Kaiser to Magnus.
Soon after, Velderoth devised a plan to lure Kaiser away from the battle, thereby allowing the Specters to launch a surprise attack on the Nova Downtown HQ. Velderoth sent a letter to the Nova, declaring that he wished to fight one-on-one again, and that he was prepared to pull out the entire Specter army if he lost. Though Kaiser realized that it was a trap, he decided to accept the challenge, as he felt responsible for Velderoth's fall. Because of this, Velderoth was able to launch the surprise attack, though the Nova were able to repel his advance because of Angelic Buster's timely warning.
During the final push into Tyrant's Castle, Velderoth was defeated by the Alliance, forcing him to abandon his position and retreat. Nevertheless, Velderoth smiled before disappearing, with Tiron spotting one injured person - believed to be Velderoth - leaving Heliseum in a hurry. Soon after, Magnus was also forced to retreat from Heliseum, allowing the Nova to retake their capital and leaving Magnus and Velderoth's whereabouts unknown.
Velderoth's counterpart in Friends World is the captain of the Shinsoo International School soccer team.
Hilla and Magnus Sittin' in a Tree
A traveler from another world, who was posing as a transfer student in order to keep Friends World safe, met with Velderoth during their attempts to bring Magnus the PE teacher and Hilla the school nurse together. Hoping to injure Magnus, thereby leaving him in Hilla's care, the traveler borrowed soccer balls from Velderoth to kick at Magnus, though their efforts were soon proven to be in vain.

Trivia
- Velderoth has a similar story to the Ice Knight. Both were originally friends of a class but betrayed them and joined forces with their enemies in search for power, and then were eventually defeated by that same friend.
