On the walk to the Sky Ferry, past the Conference Pavilion, Neinheart briefs you about the Alliance's investigation into the Black Mage's history. The Scroll of Prophecy, which tells of an incident that has yet to happen, was recovered beneath Magatia. It has led Neinheart to believe that the Black Mage had the power to predict events before they became reality, as he had foreseen not only the creation of the Adversary, but also the Arcane River and the fusion of the Black Moon with the White Sun. Neinheart is concerned about the new destiny and whether it will end in disaster.

A light whose brilliant glory is lost
will face the soul of the world whilst steeped in mire and rot.
