MapleStory DS is a single player adaptation of the original MapleStory released for the Nintendo DS handheld. The Japanese version was released on November 17 2011.

Despite not supporting Wi-Fi, players can use the coupon book in the options menu to get codes for the special NX items in the real MapleStory.

Gameplay

The player can only start as either a Warrior or a Thief. After finished the campaign of the one which started, the player can play as the Magician, Bowman, Thief (if started with the Warrior) and the Warrior (if started with the Thief). Each class has different abilities and skills.

Depending of the game progress, an AI companion will fight along side the player.

Trivia

  • Since MapleStory DS is an adaptation spin-off of original MapleStory, stories in this game should not be considered as canon.
    • For example, the kings of Sharenian continued until Sharen VIII instead of III.
