Damien's Mother was the human mother of the Demon and Damien.
Story
At some point in her life, she married a demon male and give birth to 2 half-demon children. The older child was believed to have taken all of the demon strength from birth, leaving the younger child with weak demon powers.
One day, Arkarium and his servants raided her home and attacked Damien and his mother, causing Damien's hidden demon powers to awaken. Arkarium, seeing that the newly awakened demon could prove very useful to his master, killed Damien's mother and told Damien that killed his own mother. Arkarium blackmailed Damien by pretending to seal his mother in time, promising her release with cooperation, and holding her life as collateral.
Later in Heroes of Maple, Arkarium keeps tabs on Damien and frequently reminding him that his mother is only being kept alive with his powers. When Damien steals the Transcendence Stone from the Heroes, Arkarium believes that Damien intends to use the Transcendence Stone to betray the Black Mage. He confronts Damien and traps him, intending to kill him. Before doing so, Arkarium reveals that Damien's mother being kept alive all these years was only an illusion, and that Arkarium himself was the one who killed Damien's mother out of revenge on Demon. Damien finds out he had been double-crossed, seeing, what he thought was his mother, shatter into a thousand pieces in front of him. Damien then reveals to Arkarium the real reason he stole the Transcendence Stone: to absorb the powers of the World Tree. He breaks free from Arkarium's shackles and kills Arkarium (with Arkarium only surviving because he was able to transfer his soul into his snake prior to his death.
After Damien's defeat, Demon confronts him one last time. The Spirit of Vengeance controlling Damien tells Demon that destroying it will also kill Damien. Damien, admitting that he is not the same person he used to be and that he didn't even remember anything about his mother, tells his brother to destroy the spirit, having accepted his fate. Demon says one last goodbye to his brother and hesitantly destroys the spirit. With the Spirit of Vengeance gone, Damien dies and his lifeless body is carried away by a heartbroken Demon.
