Paladin class artwork

Paladin is a Warrior class known for its sustained damage, durability, and strong support role in parties. It is beginner-friendly and is a good bossing mule due to its survivability.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Strengths

  • A support class with two i-frame skills and a resurrection skill
  • High durability through many passive skills that reduce damage
  • Beginner friendly - because it has high durability

Weaknesses

  • Less flexibility for iframe skills as they are typically used with party members
  • Damage is generally lower than other Warriors. The job is dependent on attack speed and only has one burst skill
  • Lack of summons which slows down mobbing and training

Gameplay

Bossing

When bossing, Grand Guardian is the main 6-second keydown burst. Smite Shield, Sacred Bastion are used to bind bosses, while many support skills can be used before the burst such as Divine Echo, Weapon Aura, Epic Adventure and Maple World Goddess's Blessing.

Outside of bursting, Blast and Divine Judgment (which is automatically activated) make up the majority of the damage (typically 50% of your damage to a boss), while Hammers of the Righteous and Mighty Mjolnir can be used when off cooldown when available.

Heaven's Hammer can be used to avoid knockback from bosses.

Mobbing

The primary skill used for mobbing is Divine Charge, with AoE attacks using Heaven's Hammer and Mighty Mjolnir. In particular, at level 20 of Divine Charge, it gives +1 target hit which improves mobbing. Hammers of the Righteous have a large hitbox which helps clear 3 platforms at once in mobbing maps.

For bossing, add the following:

For training, add the following:

The recommended trinodes for Paladin are split into two categories - one core and one optional. Both bossing and mobbing skills can be boosted in one set. You can also choose to use a second set of trinodes for other skills.

For pure bossing, Divine Charge in the Core set can be swapped with Final Attack.
