Story

Lily contacted the Adversary, noting that she had heard about their difficult time in Grandis. She explained that she was contacting them to ask for their help with the Alliance, as she had discovered a new clue that could help make their allies stronger. She told them that Neinheart had called in a favor with her and Oz when it was clear that the Alliance would be facing Gerand Darmoor and his forces, as they were actively searching for ways to make both the Adversary and their allies stronger. At the command center in Ereve, the Adversary met with Lily and Oz, where they told the Adversary how they had heard from Eckhart that the Adversary had defeated an Apostle in Carcion. Lily noted that the Adversary was continuing to grow stronger, though she added that they couldn’t keep relying solely on the Adversary’s strength, as the fight ahead would require everyone’s strength to come together. She explained that she and Oz had been looking for ways to increase their allies’ strength by researching methods to transcend individual limitations, unite allies, and develop their potential in dangerous situations. She noted that while the Adversary had increased their potential through their adventures, most of the Alliance hadn’t had the same opportunities. However, she revealed that she had found the solution through the power of relics. Oz added that the Alliance’s expeditions to Grandis had provided them the clue on how to distill a person’s power into an object so that others could use it.

At the Adversary’s surprise, Oz confirmed that she was talking about holy relics, though she admitted that they couldn’t create a holy relic imbued with the power of an Ancient God. She explained that instead, they would be using the power of the Adversary instead, with Lily clarifying that they would be extracting a small portion of the Adversary’s power into an artifact, creating an object that was a refined version of the Adversary’s skills, which could draw out the potential of other Alliance members. Oz noted that it was a task easier said than done, as it was quite tricky to imbue so much power into a small artifact. Lily agreed and explained that such a feat could only be made possible thanks to the combined efforts of Maple World’s magicians. She told the Adversary that Gritto had provided the formula for refining magical artifacts, while Robeira and Three Moon had resolved all the complex variables which had arisen from the process. She added that it had been quite exciting for so many different magicians to come together to solve the problem. When the Adversary asked her where Elwin was, Lily told them that he was busy setting up a barrier around where the ritual would take place, adding that it had taken quite a bit of convincing for him to do so, as he had originally been insistent on seeing the ritual himself. Lily and Oz then escorted the Adversary to the Magician Association headquarters, where Three Moon explained that the ritual would create magical artifacts imbued with the Adversary’s abilities for other Alliance members to use. After the Adversary stepped into the spell circle, Gritto noted that the Adversary’s strength was both tremendous and greater than that of anyone she had ever seen. After Three Moon and Robeira confirmed that the spell circle was stable, Gritto began the ritual and extracted the Adversary’s power into an artifact called the Proof of a Radiant Hero, which Robeira believed would be the key to uniting their allies and drawing out their dormant power. Though Gritto noted that it was small, she believed that uniting their allies together would bring about the light of hope to defeat evil.
