“The head of the Mori family, one of the founding houses of Akatsuki, who formed the faction together with the Matsuyama family.
He previously allied with Princess Sakuno's father, Matsuyama Kanetsugu, and played a key role in devising strategies and tactics, including forming encirclements against Oda Nobunaga. His exceptional strategic acumen has earned him the widely acknowledged title of the God of Schemes.
While he excels at controlling the battlefield through unconventional tactics, his greatest strength lies in drawing out enemy complacency, mistakes, and internal strife, causing them to collapse on their own. He truly embodies the archetype of a grand strategist who sees the bigger picture.
He is also responsible for uniting Akatsuki, a coalition of many different factions. Kenshin and Shingen, despite their clashing personalities, are able to work together because of Mori's efforts.
The more I observe him, the more grateful I feel that Mori is our ally.
His sharp impression may stem from the hardships of mediating between Kenshin and Shingen. Managing so many powerful figures must inevitably take its toll.”
