Mori Ranmaru is a boss and antagonist of Hayato and Kanna's storyline, as well as Kanna's former peer under Tsuchimikado Haruaki. He is attempting to perform a ritual inside the Dead Mine of El Nath, and you must stop him before he succeeds!
Boss Battle

Talk to Sanada Yukimura in Dead Mine III to enter the Secret Altar and face Ranmaru. Once inside the altar, talk to Ranmaru to begin the battle.
Ranmaru can attack with a tentacle-like spell, and can also attack with a spell resembling Kanna's Ghost Yaksha Brother, which can knock back. He can also use an attack buff, raising his damage by 1.2x, as well as Damage Reflect, though the reflected damage only does approximately 1,000 damage. He can cast seduce on players, causing players to forcibly jump to the left. He can also cast the Zombify effect on players, causing their recovery to be halved and certain skills such as Heal and Ray of Redemption to kill players.
In Normal Mode, a Restrained Spirit Walker and a Healing Spirit Walker will continuously spawn alongside Ranmaru. The Restrained Spirit Walker can stun you, and the Healing Spirit Walker can heal all surrounding enemies for 5,000,000 HP.
In Hard Mode, the map has a 20 second Potion Cooldown. The same 2 Spirit Walkers will appear alongside an Inferno Spirit Walker. This time, the Healing Spirit Walker can heal surrounding enemies for 90,000,000 HP. The Inferno Spirit Walker can summon invincible walls of Fire on both sides on the map, slowly closing in toward the center; these walls of fire will disappear when you defeat the Inferno Spirit Walker and reappear along with it throughout the battle. Ranmaru himself has 5 bodies. At 10% HP per body, he will start charging up an attack for 4.9 seconds, dealing 999,999 damage; this attack can be subdued if the current body is defeated before he finishes casting it.
