World Archive

This is the place where all Explorers begin their adventure in Maple World. To the west stands a legendary maple tree. To the east is a small port with service to Victoria Island.
All new travelers were once greeted by Heena and Sera, but these two have settled down to lead a quiet life. Sen, who used to keep careful watch over his house, still loves to eat Nina's candy, though he's grown up quite a lot since the old days. Todd and Peter, who used to teach combat lessons, have moved to Victoria Island with Robin and the others. In their absence, the island has slipped into a sleepy, happy rhythm.

Maple Island is one of Maple World's smaller continents. It contains several towns dedicated to guiding Explorer Beginners on their way to Victoria Island, while also helping them decide on which job to advance to. The monsters on this island are weaker versions of monsters on Victoria Island. Explorer characters start here upon creation, with their introductory questline centered around meeting Sugar], who guides them and convinces them to travel to Victoria Island to become stronger. After the Explorer accidentally releases the Black Mage from his seal, he sends a shadow of his power to destroy Maple Island, and the player must return here with his new friends to save Maple Island from the Black Mage's destructive powers.

The region can be only accessed by Explorers by using the Maple Return skill or talking to Olaf in Lith Harbor.

Maple Tree Hill

Maple Tree Hill (formerly known as Mushroom Town) is a town in northern Maple Island with a giant maple tree atop the hill, which contains the life force of the Goddess of Maple World. Players can walk to the next town Amherst from here.

Amherst

Main article: Amherst

Amherst is a town in eastern Maple Island where Explorer Beginners can purchase weapons and general goods, The town chief Lucas grants players the Maple Return skill upon reaching [Explorer] Level 20, which allows players to travel back to Maple Island. On the way to Southperry is the Adventurer Training Center, which allows players to fight weaker versions of various monsters on Victoria Island, and the Split Road of Destiny, where the Explorer Job Instructors offer Beginners a preview of each Explorer class to see what awaits them.

Southperry

Main article: Southperry

Southperry is a port city in southern Maple Island where Explorer Beginners can purchase armor and board The Sangri-La, a boat that travels to Lith Harbor of Victoria Island.

Trivia

• Maple Island bears a resemblance to Banks Island, an island in the Canadian Arctic Archipelago.
