The MesoGears is a sub-area in New Leaf City within the Bigger Ben clocktower. Explore the depths of the MesoGears and discover the secrets of what Christopher Crimsonheart left behind after his death.
This region can be accessed on foot via the Bigger Ben clocktower on the left side of NLC Town Center. It consists of a few maps, and serves as the introductory area for the Level 190 Masteria questline. In the deepest part of the clocktower is Christopher Crimsonheart's grave.
Completing the Level 190 Masteria questline, which involves both New Leaf City and Crimsonwood, will reward the Medal 
Naricain's Revival.

Trivia
- In March 2012, when NLC became the focus of a new expansion where it was invaded by aliens, this area became inaccessible. However, this update was reverted in February 2014 due to it being unpopular, restoring NLC to its former state, reopening the MesoGears, and keeping the Alien Base as an expansion[1].
