Destiny is an update following Maple Live. It brings a full-fledge Remaster of MapleStory's oldest class, the Adventurers (SEA/GMS: Explorer). It also features a new boss, a new Equipment Set, as well as a new accessory set with a plethora of Quality of Life updates.
1st: Starlight Symphony
- Maple Guide Revamp
- EXP reduction by 16% from Level 250 to 259
- New Boss Difficulties: Will [Easy Mode], Verus Hilla [Normal Mode], Chosen Seren [Normal Mode]
- New Equipment Set: Dawn Boss Set (Face, Earring, Pendant, Ring)
- Hot Key + Link Skill Preset System
- Various Quality of Life Updates (e.g. Story skip feature for Arcane River quests)
- Starlight Symphony Event
2nd: Adventurer Remaster
- Adventurer Remaster - All Explorer Classes get full fledged revamps (excluding Pathfinder)
- Adventurer Story Revamp
- All Jobs Balance Patch
3rd: Watcher Kalos
- New Area: Karote, the Unending Tower
- New Boss: Kalos
- New Equipment Set: Eternal Equipment Set (Hat, Top, Bottom, + Genesis Weapon)
- Gloves, Cape, Shoes, and Shoulder will be released in a later date as mentioned from KMS media interviews.

- Server Naming Difference:
- MSEA/GMS/TMS/JMS: Destiny
- CMS: 命运 (Destiny, Mìng yùn)
- The Mastery Book system was removed in the Destiny Update.
- Existing Mastery Books can be sold to NPCs for Mesos, or exchanged for Spell Traces.
- A few regional differences came across with this update:
- In KoreaMS, the theme song of this update is WE ARE ALL ADVENTURERS, and the singers are AKMU's Lee Chan-hyuk and Lee Su-hyeon (KR: 이찬혁, 이수현).
- In JapanMS, the theme song of this update is Gyakkō Rays (JP: 逆光Rays; Backlit Rays), and the singer is Aimi, who also provided the voice of Buccaneer (Female).
- In ChinaMS, the content and rollout for Destiny were modified as following:
- The Mastery Book system was kept until the Ignition Update.
- The update was rolled out in one consolidated part.[1]
- In TaiwanMS and ChinaMS, Destiny came with the following additional content:
- New Event: Maple Expedition - Misty Island Legacy
- In GlobalMS, Destiny came with the following additional content:
- New System: My Home
- Boss Reward Reorganization, originally from the Maple Live Update.
- In JapanMS, Destiny came with the following additional content:
- New Event: Neo Tokyo
- The initials of the words Glory, Rise, Awake, NEO, Destiny, Ignition and Savior form Grandis.
