- To alleviate increasing population pressure in Continental Grandis maps, these maps were instanced during this update.
- A maximum of 2 players can share an instanced map.
- If a third player arrives at an instanced map, they will not see any monsters.
- If a player dies at an instanced map, or if a player leaves an instanced map (including entering Bounty Hunter Portals, event maps, etc.), they will lose access after returning to the map.
- Rune cooldowns have been reduced from 15 minutes to 10 minutes.
- In GlobalMS and TaiwanMS, the Frenzy Totem spawn enhancing effect would only apply to the player who owned it.
- Instanced maps were initially introduced in KoreaMS as a temporary measure during the second part of the update.

- Instanced maps were a topic of community concern in GlobalMS in Regular/Interactive Worlds. As such, GlobalMS removed instanced maps in regular worlds in v247, on December 10, 2023.
- Instanced maps are still implemented in MapleSEA, JapanMS and in Reboot/Heroic Worlds in GlobalMS.
- Instanced maps were removed in TaiwanMS on April 2, 2024, and were reinstated in the Dreamer Update.
- In ChinaMS, instanced maps weren't implemented until April 1, 2025, and it's only applied for newly created Blue Snail world, allowing at most 15 players sharing an instanced map. In addition to Continental Grandis maps, Level 259 or lower recommended maps listed in Maple Guide are also instanced.
