• When Showa Town was first released in ChinaMS (now removed from that version) and GlobalMS, the monsters were heavily censored. Yakuza Officer / Male Boss's gun was replaced with magic fists, and his death animation had him transform into a Wandering Fire Raccoon before dying (which originally would only happen with Yakuza Boss).
  • The original, uncensored version replaced the censored version with the Big Bang Update.
• When defeating Yakuza Officer / Male Boss, he can be heard shouting: "Masaka!", which can be translated as either "it can't be!", "how can it be!", or "no way!" in English.
• When summoned as a familiar, his basic attack strangely plays the machine gun sound effect when he shoots monsters with his revolver. The sound is meant to be played in his secondary attack for his monster counterpart.
