Showa Town is an area in Zipangu based on Japan's Showa period. In the area of Showa Town, the monsters, based on the Yakuza, resemble players and roam the streets wielding guns, swords, baseball bats, and bricks. Many of the citizens are in debt due to the Fire Raccoon Finance Office, where the Yakuza gives out monetary loans and forces the citizens to pay them back with high interest rates. It also has a sauna with a secret map filled with Silver Slimes. The NPC shopkeepers here sell different items, including return scrolls sold in the form of milk drinks and special collector's items sold for high prices. Certain items sold here can exceed a million Mesos.
This region can be accessed on foot via Creepy Bridge near Mushroom Shrine, as well as via Perry at Victoria Tree Platform and various Zipangu towns. It is divided into two sections: Showa Street and Showa Hideout, with the upper floors of the Hideout unlocked as you progress through the questline. On the top floor, the Boss Yakuza Boss can be fought once you defeat his two bodyguards.
Completing the main Showa Town questline will reward the Medal
Fire Raccoon Finance Auditor and unlock access to the Yakuza Boss Boss Battle. The Yakuza Boss drops the
Threads of Fate, which increases a player's Threads of Fate closeness with an NPC of their choice by 7. In addition, completing the quests involving Mariwaka's Purse and helping Poni Chai will unlock Daily Quests and Weekly Quests for EXP, as well as various Maple Achievements which reward collectibles.

Trivia
- Before the Big Bang Update in ChinaMS and GlobalMS, human-type monsters in Showa Town were censored to conceal their violence elements, and their death animations had them transform into a Wandering Fire Raccoon (if male) or a Field Fox (if female) upon dying. The censorship was retracted after the Big Bang Update.
- Originally, only Yakuza Boss would transform into a Wandering Fire Raccoon upon dying.
- In ChinaMS, Showa Town is still accessible by using remaining Fruit Milk at Mushroom Shrine, despite its removal in 2012.
- The design of the Dusk Viper / Black Snake monster was repurposed by JapanMS from a Dragon Boat Festival Event in TaiwanMS and ChinaMS, which was a black recolor of a Python from Thailand's Floating Market region. The Dusk Viper / Black Snake served as a replacement for Bains in Showa Town's Armory after Bains were turned into Star Force Monsters.
