Momijigaoka is an area in Zipangu based on Japan's Sengoku period. In the land of Hinomaru during that period, Oda Nobunaga attempted to use Princess Sakuno's mana to perform a Demon King Ritual to gain power. However, Hayato, Kanna, and Ayame, along with the three great lords Mouri Motonari, Uesugi Kenshin, and Takeda Shingen, were able to stop the ritual. As a result, Sakuno regained consciousness, causing the Demon Realm to close and transport large swaths of Hinomaru to Maple World. The great lords would establish a base nearby named Momijigaoka,, where they would form an alliance in order to find and stop Nobunaga once and for all. Hayato and Kanna characters start here upon creation, with their introductory questline centered around establishing an alliance with the three great lords and getting acclimated to Maple World.
This region can be accessed on foot via The Wounded Forest near Mushroom Shrine, as well as via Perry at Victoria Tree Platform and various Zipangu towns. It is divided into three sections: Momijigahara, Near Momijigaoka, and the sub-area Hieizan. Most maps in Near Momijigaoka and Hieizan are only accessible during the Princess No questline, with the exception of the Princess No Boss Battle.
