“The western region of Grandis--home of great cities and grand ruins. The settlements that remain live under the looming threat of High Flora invasion.”
- ― In-game description for Western Grandis
Western Grandis is a region on the continent of Grandis. While Grandis consists of various lands, islands, and moons, the name 'Grandis' refers to the large continent that constitutes most of the planet, similar to Ossyria in Maple World. Western Grandis is home to many different races and nations, and is suitable for players Level 260 and above who have completed their Sixth Job Advancement (though the Job Advancement is not mandatory).

Inaccessible Regions
Evernia and the Chronica Sanctuary
- Main article: Twilight Eve Festival/Story
Evernia is a remote village located near the Arcus desert, in the valley of a mountain range that runs from Western Grandis to Eastern Grandis. Although the harsh terrain makes the mountain range uninhabitable, Evernia was built at the site which once held the Chronica Sanctuary, the sanctum of Chronica, Grandis's Transcendent of Time. Following the Flora Civil War, Gerand Darmoor stole the power of time from Chronica and imprisoned both the Transcendent and their sanctum in a prison dimension, with the descendants of the sanctum's priests eventually building Evernia in the valley. Since then, the villagers would hold the Twilight Eve Festival every ten years, praying for the lost Transcendent's second coming. Although neither Evernia nor the Chronica Sanctuary are directly accessible, the Twilight Eve Festival event took place in Evernia, where the Adversary and the Maple Alliance helped the townspeople of Evernia conduct the ritual to summon Chronica. Additionally, while the Chronica Sanctuary is also inaccessible, the prison dimension in which it is located was seen in a cutscene during the Twilight Eve Festival event.
Trivia
- When Cernium and Hotel Arcus were first released in the NEO Update, they were included on the main Grandis world map. To differentiate between Grandis's moons and the planet at the center, the latter was referred to as "Continental Grandis" on this Wiki.
- As of the second part of the Savior Update, the name Continental Grandis became canon and officially confirmed in-game.
- However, beginning in the NEXT Update, the Grandis World Map is reorganized into three areas: Western Grandis, which consists of nearly all areas that were part of Continental Grandis (except Erimos, which is now part of Eastern Grandis), Central Grandis, and Eastern Grandis.
