Midnight Chaser is the Arcane River Special Content located near the Lachelein region, replacing Dream Defender. To participate, talk to the ragdoll Mr. Flopsy the Dreamweaver at Lachelein Main Street. Midnight Chaser can only be attempted alone, and you will have 3 clears per week, meaning that you can reattempt or reset a run that you've already entered. Midnight Chaser has a recommended Arcane Power of 240.

Play hide-and-seek with Mr. Flopsy, one of Lucid's creations, and find it 9 times before the timer runs out.

Map

Midnight Chaser

Midnight Chaser only has one map, with a recommended Arcane Power of 240. The map is divided into 9 rooms, each with a different piece of furniture that will be in a random location with each entry. The objective is to find Mr. Flopsy in the room corresponding with the furniture that is highlighted in the progress bar, for a total of 9 times. To search a piece of furniture in a given room, all of the monsters in that room must be defeated, after which you can press the NPC Chat / Harvest on the furniture; if it is the correct furniture, it will be cleared and monsters will no longer spawn in that room, while if it is incorrect, monsters will reappear. The board on the left will serve as a map to indicate your current location as well as the rooms you have cleared.

Upon successfully finding Mr. Flopsy in all 9 rooms, you will be taken to the Reward Stage.

Reward Stage

Midnight Chaser Exit

This stage serves to give your rewards. If you successfully complete Midnight Chaser, you will obtain EXP and Arcane Symbol: Lachelein. If you fail, you will be given no rewards, but the run will not count toward your weekly completions.

Rewards

Upon completing Midnight Chaser, you will receive Arcane Symbol: Lachelein x 40 in the form of usable vouchers. Additionally, you can choose to receive 817,717,500 EXP, up to 3 times per week per world.

You can also immediately complete weekly runs for every additional area you complete in Arcane River.

  • When Arcana is completed, you will be able to immediately complete 1 run to receive the Symbols instantly.
  • When Morass is completed, you will be able to immediately complete 2 runs to receive the Symbols instantly.
  • Note that the EXP reward will NOT be given if you choose to immediately complete the run.

Dream Coins

Prior to the Savior Update, players would obtain Dream Coins by completing Dream Defender, receiving 1 Dream Coin equal to the last stage you reach in a given run (up to 500 coins total per day). These could then be exchanged for Arcane Symbol: Lachelein via Mr. Flopsy the Dreamweaver at a ratio of 30 coins for 1 symbol.

With Dream Defender's removal as of the Savior Update, and Midnight Chaser rewarding symbols in the form of usable vouchers, Dream Coins can no longer be obtained. However, any Dream Coins obtained prior to the Savior Update can still be exchanged for Arcane Symbol: Lachelein at the same ratio by talking to Mr. Flopsy.
