Tynos is the Ancient God of pestilence and calamity. During the Ancient War, Tynos ruled High Mountain until Mitra and his Celestials defeated him and claimed his seat of power. Carved into three pieces by Mitra, Tynos was sealed beneath High Mountain until Gerand Darmoor and his Apostles' interference resulted in his seal weakening. After the return of the Ancient Gods, Mitra and Seren returned to High Mountain, where they fought and defeated Tynos once and for all.
Story
The Ancient War
In the beginning, the Primordial God made 365 creations - the sun, the moon, the stones, the trees, the wind, the rivers, the seas, and countless others - each adhering to 365 laws that governed the universe. From these 365 creations that made up the world, powerful beings were brought into existence that embodied these natural laws, including Tynos. Over time, these beings were revered as gods by mortals, and ages later, they would be known as the Ancient Gods. During the era of the Ancient Gods, Tynos - known as the god of calamity - and his monstrous descendants ruled from High Mountain. Tynos' influence quickly spread across Grandis on a dark fog that carried a deadly plague, and though the gods were immune to it, countless mortals succumbed to the disease, causing to rot and wither away. During this time, the knights and priests of Tallahart worked together to create a cure and seal away the black fog hanging over the city. However, with Tynos' power threatening to engulf the world itself, Mitra the Sun God and his descendants, the Celestials, began a long war against him. Mitra successfully defeated Tynos and split him into three pieces, each of which was sealed beneath High Mountain alongside Tynos' descendants. Mitra and his Celestials then settled in High Mountain, with his Celestials remaining there even after Mitra and the other gods were defeated and sealed away by the Adversaries and the Transcendents.
The Broken Seal
Ages later, High Mountain was attacked by Havoc, an Apostle of Gerand Darmoor, resulting in the near-extinction of the Celestials. Sometime during or after the fall of High Mountain, Darmoor and his Apostles weakened the seal on Tynos and injected a crystal that would augment Tynos' power. Due to the seal weakening, the descendants of Tynos flooded out from beneath High Mountain and began swarming around the city. Soon after, the fusion of Maple World and Grandis caused the Ancient Gods to reawaken, after which Mitra returned to High Mountain and found Tynos' descendants freed from the seal. Mitra - alongside Seren, who had returned to High Mountain to find a way to restore Azor - began investigating the seals and discovered that they still remained intact. Arrogantly, he decided that he would break the seals on Tynos and destroy him once and for all, thereby eliminating his problem without needing bother to investigate the reason for the seal's weakening.
As Mitra began to destroy the seals on Tynos, he fought and defeated each piece, which vanished into a puff of black smoke. However, Seren quickly noticed that destroying the pieces of Tynos and his descendants was causing him to reassemble himself into his complete form. Despite Mitra's insistence that he would vanquish Tynos once and for all, Seren stood against him and refused to allow him to destroy the final seal. Nevertheless, Tynos' reforming body devoured Seren and destroyed the last seal on his own, causing him to be fully restored after Mitra defeated the third piece of his body.
Mitra then began fighting against Tynos' true form in order to force him to regurgitate Seren. However, Seren - inside Tynos' stomach - was able to restore Azor with her strong willpower and, with the power of the Chosen One, broke through his stomach and joined Mitra's side. Together, Mitra and Seren fought and defeated Tynos, just as his body began rumbling violently and fusing together with High Mountain itself with the power of Darmoor's crystal. Just as Seren prepared to charge at Tynos, Mitra stopped her and warned her to stay behind, declaring that their fight was now the domain of the gods themselves. Mitra then fought against Tynos alone with the full extent of his power, obliterating Tynos once and for all. Knocked out from the sheer force of the battle, Seren awoke to find Tynos and High Mountain obliterated, and Mitra nowhere in sight, leaving his whereabouts and status unknown.
