Major Format Overhaul
This page was terribly disorganized, so I decided to overhaul the format. I think it looks passable, but if anybody thinks it needs changing, feel free to do so. Twocows360 19:18, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
Re : Major Format Overhaul
I think your re-organisation is still abit wrong.... Evan and Aran are the same type , Under Legendary Classes.. and i don't have a banner so i can't do anything about it. Do you have a banner showing the Legendary Heroes? Evan , Aran, Mercedes and phantom are 4 out of 5 Heroes Revealed...Eugenekoh12 12:28, November 30, 2009 (UTC)202.156.13.10 07:09, December 13, 2011 (UTC)
Typo in Spoiler Box
The end bracket after Cannoneer in the spoiler box might be causing things to not link properly. Also makes the text itself un-clickable.

HP / MP
I'd like to propose excluding HP / MP from the summary of every class. I don't think they have any meaning after some hours of gameplay. Some descriptions are vague (medium-high HP does not help determine how easily the class can survive Chaos Crimson Queen's breath). Some descriptions are wrong (medium HP for Kanna, low MP for Zero). Some descriptions are already missing (Demon Avenger). I can manually edit them out from each class, if needed.

- I agree - it's quite subjective, which makes it not as useful. It seems like it's only useful for people who don't wanna pot too much in early/mid game. I'm happy for us to hide it from the template for now, until we find a better home for this data point (for instance, we're thinking of adding a Guide: namespace and this would fit there. Job Advancements
Currently, job advancement paragraphs for every class are inconsistent and essentially boils down to rewording the advancement quests' procedure. Some were copied across class categories without correcting finer details. I want to propose deleting the entire section and replacing with a link to the starting advancement quest, which the player can follow to completion. The final result would look similar to current 5th job advancement section, maybe with even less words.
--SlytherinDN (talk) 00:08, 5 June 2024 (UTC)
- I'm not so sure about removing the entire section, but I agree they are quite inconsistent. I think making the section simpler (no need for sections, just a quick description like Luminous or Kaiser) and more consistent would be amazing. Adding links to the starting quest also makes a lot of sense and happy with that one. Winter (talk) 02:19, 5 June 2024 (UTC)
- I'll be manually finalizing these changes for each class page tomorrow. Edits and edit reversals for improvement are welcome!

This is what I came up with. My descriptions are consistent, but not ideal. I listed starting or ending quests depending on what I think the player might look for. Quests could be presented in a table, but that is difficult to show here. I tried to save space here; there would be 5 or 6 quests linked for each class page.
All classes:
[5th Job] 5th Job: Call of the Erdas
Hero, Paladin, Dark Knight, Arch Mage (Fire, Poison), Arch Mage (Ice, Lightning), Bishop, Bow Master, Marksman, Night Lord, Shadower, Buccaneer, Corsair, Dual Blade, and Cannoneer:
If another Explorer in the same world has not advanced to 4th job yet, the player must complete additional quests to advance to 2nd job.
Hero, Paladin, and Dark Knight:
[Explorer] Path of the Warrior
[Explorer] The 3 Ways of the Warrior
Arch Mage (Fire, Poison), Arch Mage (Ice, Lightning), and Bishop:

[Explorer] The 2 Trails of the Bowman
Night Lord and Shadower:
[Explorer] The 2 Paths of the Thief
[Explorer] The 2 Types of Pirate
Dual Blade must complete additional quests to advance to intermediate jobs. Jeppi's Hideout in required quest [Explorer] The Meeting with Jeppi may be unusually difficult to find. At Level 60, Dual Blade will not have any 3rd job skill points until leveling up.

Evan:
Evan can advance to 1st ~ 4th jobs instantly upon reaching the required level. If the player doesn't have a way to teleport away from the Farm such as Hyper Teleport Rock or Elven Blessing, starting [Evan] Letter Delivery is effectively required to advance to 2nd job.
Mercedes can advance to 3rd and 4th jobs instantly upon reaching the required level.

Class Overview
I had started editing Class Overview sections for Lynn, Blaze Wizard, Wild Hunter, Mechanic, Illium, and Zero. Due to false confidence, I believed I knew the basics to summarize all classes in a consistent manner, including complex ones. However, my knowledge is too shallow to accurately cover even simpler classes.
Please undo my edits if they are incorrect or worse than previous text. I'll try to fix my inconsistent wording and make incremental improvements.

Alright, will keep note of it. Izzy (talk) 01:13, 9 June 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you. I had started removing text that described
- how classes used to be. I have no experience playing old Dark Knight, Buccaneer, Evan, etc to describe them well. There's also the issue of 3rd job only Cygnus Knights.
- focused too much on attacks 3rd or 4th job attacks. I still think these will be irrelevant after the main quest line to 200 is properly implemented.
- By any chance, is there an easier way than eyeballing to ensure all the skill descriptions and numbers (especially intermediate levels) are the same as ingame? I have disagreements with datamined active skills actually being functionally passive.
- --SlytherinDN (talk) 19:35, 9 June 2024 (UTC)
- In my mind, flash jumps that can't be keybound are passive, along with skills like Flare Slash, Liberated Spirit Circle, Muscle Memory Finale.
- --SlytherinDN (talk) 02:27, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
- I agree that skills which activate automatically count as passive, like the latter 3. As for Flash Jumps that can't be keybound, I'd say they still count as active since you have to activate them yourself. I think most flash jumps can be keybound nowadays anyway.
