“A lawless city where troublemakers and hoodlums gather. The polluted oceans are full of radioactive waste, and garbage litters the city streets. Known for its black market, one can find just about anything among the wares of its shady stalls.”
- ― In-game description for Savage Terminal
Savage Terminal is an area in Grandis's central region that attracts all sorts of villainy and criminals. The Shadowdealers who rescue Cadena from Magnus's forces reside here, teaching Cadena how to be street-smart and fight for herself. Cadena characters start here upon creation, with their introductory questline centered around Savage Terminal; Cadena characters cannot obtain EXP from monsters outside of Savage Terminal until they complete the quest [Cadena] Hazardous Materials. Illium and Kain characters also start in the areas Sanctuary and Toolen City respectively. This area is also the focus of the Level 175+ Detective Rave's Case Notes theme dungeon, where you have to help Rave uncover a conspiracy by the Senya of the Angler Company to turn Savage Terminal into acid and leave behind a massive energy source.
Savage Terminal is considered the hub of all intercontinental travel in Grandis, allowing players to travel between Savage Terminal and various regions in Grandis. Pantheon is accessible via a dimensional portal in Brigand's Row. Ark characters also end up here with the caravan after escaping Verdel before it is destroyed, though there is no NPC that provides transportation between Verdel and Savage Terminal. Players can talk to Seya in Savage Terminal Hub to travel to various locations, or to go back to Savage Terminal from any other available location. The locations that can be traveled to as follows:
This area is divided into four sections: Garbage Dump, Black Market, Brawl 'n' Bash Club, and Abandoned Offices. In addition, the first three areas each have side paths pertaining to the Level 175+ Detective Rave's Case Notes theme dungeon: Seedy Scrapyard, Sketchy Back-Alley, and Dingy Brawl 'n' Bash Club (which contains a path to the Glooger Habitat); these maps can only be accessed by players Level 175 and above. Sanctuary can be accessed by 1st Job Illium characters from a hidden portal in Hedgehog Prickleyard 3; after Sanctuary's destruction and Illium's 2nd Job Advancement, this area can no longer be accessed. Toolen City can be accessed by talking to Tillam at Shaded Dump Site.
Completing the Detective Rave's Case Notes questline will reward the Medal
Detective Rave's Honorary Assistant.

An Alliance member was scammed into a fake luxury tour package, for which they traveled to Savage Terminal in order to claim it. There, an Angler Company bot posed as the facilitator of the event and tricked the traveler into accidentally shooting down a spaceship. An escape pod from the ship crashed into the office of a thug named Toole, a local thug and the one who had actually created the scam. From the ship emerged a girl named Senya, who explained that she had lost precious cargo when her ship had been shot down. Seeing an opportunity to make money, Toole forced the traveler to recover the cargo, claiming that they needed to cover the cost of destroying his office.
After finding that the cargo had already been stolen from the crash site, the traveler began working with the infamous Detective Rave in order to find out who had taken it. In order to scare the local lowlifes of Savage Terminal into revealing the truth, Detective Rave claimed that the cargo belonged to the Angler Company, a fearsome and ruthless arms-dealer company which had allegedly met its end in a cataclysmic explosion at headquarters. While investigating the cargo, Detective Rave interrogated Senya and learned that she was part of an environmental organization called Sea Lantern, which helped reclaim polluted places across Grandis. She revealed that the cargo aboard her ship was a powerful cleaning device that could boil impurities out of any substance.
After chasing down rumor after rumor, the traveler and Detective Rave found the cargo in possession of Maroni, a former employee of Mr. Hazard. Eventually, however, the device was teleported to the sewers, where they encountered a masked man named Cosim. Cosim revealed that the device wasn't a purifier, but an Angler Company weapon that would turn the waters of Savage Terminal acidic, boiling everyone to death and leaving behind a source of pure energy. While the traveler worked with Cosim to stop the weapon, Detective Rave confronted Senya and learned that she was actually Senya Angler of the infamous Angler family. Rave began to fight Senya, who revealed that she was a cyborg enhanced with the technology of the Angler Company. After Senya retreated, Rave used a teleportation device that he had stolen from Senya during the fight in order to transport the unstable weapon aboard her escape craft, causing it explode in the sky.
On the city skyline, Cosim noted that the Angler Company had returned, and the the Apostles of Darmoor were making their move. Because of this, he wondered whether it was time to meet with the elders from the realm of the sages.
