Dual Blade class selection button

Dual Blade is an Explorer Thief released during the v.88: Dual Blade[7] Update. They have additional Job Advancements compared to other jobs. Their first job+ is Blade Recruit, their second job is Blade Acolyte, their second job+ is Blade Specialist, their third job is Blade Lord, and their fourth job is Blade Master.

The Dual Blades are a rogue faction of thieves who follow Lady Syl, the daughter of the former Dark Lord, who believes that Jin, the current Dark Lord, killed her father and took his position. Their base is in the Secret Garden that can be accessed through a portal in Kerning City.

Due to being a special Explorer, Dual Blade has their own storyline and also follow the regular Explorer storyline. An Explorer from Maple Island gets convinced by a Dual Blade named Ryden to join their ranks. As the Dual Blade rises through the ranks, they soon uncover the real truth behind the former Dark Lord's death and eventually help unify the Dual Blades with the thieves of Kerning City.

Story

An Explorer was recruited by a Dual Blade named Ryden while on their way to meet the Dark Lord. The Explorer was convinced to follow Lady Syl and joined the Dual Blades after learning that Lady Syl sought to get revenge on the Dark Lord for killing her father, the former Dark Lord. Posing as a regular thief, the Dual Blade was sent by Lady Syl to train under the Dark Lord and spy on him. During their investigation, they learned that the Dark Lord, rather than killing Lady Syl's father, had actually been working with him to find the unknown threat which had been erasing the history of Maple World. Under the guise of hunting Balrog, Lady Syl's father, Tristan, Mu Young, and the Dark Lord had tracked down the threat below the Cursed Temple of Balrog. Knowing that it had the power of possession, they had shielded their minds to keep the enemy from possessing them.

What they hadn't anticipated, however, was that Lady Syl had secretly followed them. Their target, who - unbeknownst to anyone - was the spirit of Lotus, had taken over Syl's body and attacked them. Unwilling to strike her down, both Sung and Tristan had allowed themselves to be killed by Syl before Jin had wrested her sword out of her hands. After Lotus had released her, Syl had been horrified to see the bodies of her father and Tristan, as well as a bloody sword in Jin's hands. With no memory of her time being possessed, she had mistakenly concluded that Jin had killed Tristan and her father, for which she had sworn revenge against him. After learning the truth, the Dual Blade reported back to Lady Syl, who was shocked to learn what had truly happened. Soon after, Syl agreed to set aside her grudge against the Dark Lord and united with him as one faction.

  • Completing Dual Blade Quests is required to advance to 1st+ Job (Blade Recruit) and 2nd Job (Blade Acolyte).
  • If another Explorer in the same world has not advanced to 4th job yet, completing additional quests is required to advance to 3rd and 4th jobs.
  • At Level 60, there are no 3rd job (Blade Lord) skill points available until leveling up to 61.
