VIP System

VIP System is an overseas exclusive replacement of the MVP System. This was first introduced in TaiwanMS in the Post-Chaser Update, and later expanded to JapanMS and MapleSEA in the NEXT Update, and to ChinaMS in the Post-Assemble Update.
This system is designed to incentivize Cash Shop spending using real money by providing various quality of life benefits as well as an exclusive VIP Lounge depending on the tier.

Note: This page uses mostly MapleSEA translations as the other Non-KoreaMS servers, except GlobalMS, use similar translated names in their respective languages. Unless otherwise stated, the information is also based on MapleSEA's implementation.
VIP Tiers and VIP Points
There are 5 VIP tiers from Silver to Royal Black, each with varying conditions to achieve and retain their respective tiers. VIP Points also vary depending on the tier level, and can be used to redeem in-game and real-life items.
The following details apply:
- If the player is not a VIP member, they will obtain the same number of VIP Points per Cash spent as VIP Silver.
- In ChinaMS, the player will obtain 1 VIP Point per 1 Cash spent.
- If the player achieves a new tier, the minimum VIP Points to retain will be reset, and they will need to obtain the new tier's minimum VIP Points to retain that tier.
- VIP Points required to retain the player's tier is calculated based on the VIP Points obtained over the past 100 days and the tier is reflected at 12:00 AM each day.

VIP Points UI shown in-game - If the player does not reach the minimum VIP Points to retain their current tier, they will be demoted to the previous tier.

Comparisons Between MVP and VIP Systems
The comparison is based on the amount of Cash spending in the last 100 days (for VIP System) or the last 3 months (for MVP System). The Cash spending thresholds for the respective tiers are highlighted in bold.
| Amount of Cash Spending | MVP | VIP | Details |
|---|---|---|---|
| 150,000 | Bronze | N/A | The lowest VIP tier is VIP Silver |
| 300,000 | Silver | Silver | VIP Silver is permanent, but MVP Silver is not |
| 600,000 | Gold | Gold | |
| 1,000,000 | Diamond | Gold | 200,000 Cash away from VIP Diamond |
| 1,200,000 | Diamond | Diamond | 500,000 Cash away from MVP Red |
| 1,700,000 | Red | Diamond | 1,800,000 Cash away from VIP Royal |
| 3,000,000 | Black | Diamond | 500,000 Cash away from VIP Royal |
| 3,500,000 | Black | Royal |
For VIP Royal Black, this is exclusive to Top 20 (MapleSEA) or 50 (Non-MapleSEA) spenders based on the VIP Royal tier, hence there is no direct comparison against the MVP System.

Trivia
- Many of the quality of life and Quick Pass benefits are similar to the revamped MVP System that is introduced in KoreaMS, albeit with differences in implementation and tier calculation.
- Despite being the first region that introduced this system, TaiwanMS does not have a Web Shop for redeeming real-world items.
- In TaiwanMS and MapleSEA, as of the Assemble Update, the VIP Lounge experience rates have increased.
- In MapleSEA, with the implementation of the VIP exclusive channels, each world had 3 fewer free channels instead of 3 additional VIP channels.
- For example, the Aquila world had 40 channels before the implementation, and was reduced to 37 free channels and 3 VIP channels after the implementation.
- In JapanMS, a number of regional differences came across with the implementation of this system:
- Customer Service priority processing is available for VIP Diamond tier and above.
- Invitation to private offline events twice a year is changed to priority service during offline events, and is reserved for VIP Royal Black tier.
- EXP items from the VIP Special Gift Pack are not provided.
- In ChinaMS, a number of regional differences came across with the implementation of this system:
- Additional damage cap increase benefit is added and available for all VIP tiers.
- VIP Premium World Map Teleport benefit and VIP Infinite Elixir item are only available for VIP Gold tier and above.
- This essentially removes permanent access for such benefits and items, as other servers have these benefits and items at the permanent VIP Silver tier.
- Application of Spell Trace Fever Time at all times and Monster Park Quick Pass benefits are only available for VIP Diamond tier and above.
- The 2x Monster Park Quick Passes benefit is completely removed from VIP Gold tier.
- Number of VIP exclusive channels are reduced to 2, with only up to Diamond+ channels.
- Minimum Burning Field Level is not set for Gold+ channels, and reduced to Level 3 for Diamond+ channels.
