Central Grandis is a region on the continent of Grandis. While Grandis consists of various lands, islands, and moons, the name 'Grandis' refers to the large continent that constitutes most of the planet, similar to Ossyria in Maple World. Central Grandis is the stronghold of the High Flora nation, as well as several other remote regions of Grandis, such as Savage Terminal, which is the starting area for Cadena, Illium, and Kain. Although not accessible themselves, several regions found in various Grandis-based storylines, such as the Grand Athenaeum and Epic Dungeons, can be seen on the Central Grandis UI as well.

Towns / Regions

Savage Terminal

Main article: Savage Terminal

Savage Terminal is an area in Grandis that attracts all sorts of villainy and criminals. The Shadowdealers who rescue Cadena from Magnus's forces reside here, teaching Cadena how to be street-smart and fight for herself. Cadena characters start here upon creation, with their introductory questline centered around Savage Terminal. Illium and Kain characters also start in the areas Sanctuary and Toolen City respectively. This area is also the focus of the Level 175+ Detective Rave's Case Notes theme dungeon, in which the player has to help Detective Rave uncover a conspiracy by the Senya Angler of the Angler Company to turn Savage Terminal into acid and leave behind a massive energy source.

Dark Sea

Main article: Dark Sea

Dark Sea, also known as the Silent Sea, is the third side area in the main Grandis storyline. After the battle of Arteria, Edea leads the Alliance on a mission to the Black Sea, long infamous for the unexplained disappearances of countless ships and sailors. Believing these disappearances to be linked to the power of the Ancient Gods, the Alliance explores a strange temple at the bottom of the sea, where they encounter a mysterious girl claiming to be a sea spirit sealed away by an evil god. Players can fight the Major Boss Malefic Star here.

Inaccessible Regions

High Mountain

Main article: Epic Dungeon: High Mountain

High Mountain is the ancient home of the Celestials, the descendants of the Sun God Mitra, who claimed it after defeating Tynos, the Ancient God of calamity, and sealing him beneath the land. High Mountain was destroyed by the Apostle Havoc, who wiped out nearly all the Celestials. After the battle of Cernium, Seren returned to High Mountain in order to restore the Holy Sword Azor, while Mitra - after awakening from his long slumber - rushed to High Mountain to rally the Celestials against his enemies. There, Seren and Mitra teamed up to defeat Tynos and his minions once again, though Mitra mysteriously disappeared in the battle. Although High Mountain is not a directly accessible area, it can be seen as a fragmented mountainscape to the north of Savage Terminal.

Angler Company Headquarters

Main article: Epic Dungeon: Angler Company

Angler Company Headquarters are the central location for the Angler Company, a national-level arms dealer organization led by the Angler family. After Cosim, the son of the Company founder, turned on his father, the Company headquarters were destroyed in a cataclysmic explosion that severely damaged the Cosim and the Company founder. After the siege of Odium, Senya Angler returned to HQ in order to rescue Cosim, who was captured by the Company founder in order to extract the imitation Godsphere that Cosim had stolen from him long ago. Although the Angler Company headquarters are not a directly accessible area, they can be seen as a damaged dome-like structure in the ocean to the southwest of Savage Terminal.

Sefirot

Main article: Grand Athenaeum/Sefirot's Gardener

Sefirot is the sanctum of Grandis's Transcendent of Life. Centuries ago, the former Transcendent of Life disappeared alongside his Monks of Life, leaving behind only Asha, Sefirot's gardener, to tend the garden in the hope that the Transcendent may one day return. During this time, several Knights of the Einherjar accompanied Prince Darmoor, disguised as a scholar named Aaron, hoping to find the Transcendent in order to cure the God-King of his monstrous illness. Ultimately, however, Sefirot was destroyed in a great fire during Darmoor's experiment to find a "noble life" - a being who satisfied his criteria of one who exhibited true selfless. After Asha sacrificed her life to restore the garden, Darmoor revealed himself as the new Transcendent of Life before reviving both Asha and the garden. Although Sefirot is not a directly accessible area, it can be seen as a small mountain range with dead trees in the western part of Central Grandis.

Aboris

Aboris is the capital of the High Flora nation, which was originally the capital of the Verdant Flora before it was seized by the High Flora during the Flora Civil War. Aboris is the central headquarters for Gerand Darmoor and his Apostles, and while not directly accessible, the Morning Star Banquet event took place in Gerand Darmoor's imperial villa in Aboris, in which the player and the Primacy infiltrated the event to spy on the Apostles. It is largely believed that Aboris will be the final area in the Grandis storyline, similar to Tenebris.

Unnamed High Flora Snowy Mountain Territory

The snowy mountains are one of the six High Flora territories, led by Reina, a God of the High Flora. Although the name of this territory is unknown, it is located in Central Grandis, and presumably towards the cold, northern part. This territory was originally ruled by a beloved lord, who, despite being an honorable ruler, was unable to move their people out of the cold, leaving many to perish from the harsh environment. Eventually, this lord was killed in a ritual Syaman duel by Reina, their blood relative, who took their position and caste rank as God. Following this, Reina and her forces joined the High Flora Central Army in order to conquer a better land for her people.
