Fall 2024 (KoreaMS)

The Milestone Update concluded with the release of Limbo. The contents after the Milestone Update and before the NEXT Update were also announced in the KoreaMS showcase event, and was named as the Fall 2024 Update. The first two parts of the update are included in Non-KoreaMS servers as part of the Chaser / The Dark Ride Update.

1st: Epic Dungeon: Angler Company and Reboot World Changes I

  • New Epic Dungeon available for characters who are at least Level 270+, based on Angler Company, the arms dealer corporation founded by the Angler Father
  • 1st part of the Reboot World changes
  • Collector's Request, offering elixirs similar to class party buffs from support classes but cannot be stacked with such skills
    • Can be purchased by characters who are at least Level 200+ for 2 million mesos each
    • Cannot be used in all boss maps, Mu Lung Dojo, Sharenian Culvert and certain event maps
  • Monster Park changes
    • New entry UI with double EXP obtained
    • Free clears decreased to once daily, while additional clears increased to 6 times daily, requiring 600 Maple Points per additional clear
    • Adjustment of Monster Park Coupons obtained from MVP Gift Packs
  • Damage Skin UI improvements
    • Expanded UI size with slot usage displayed at the bottom
    • Location of Damage Skin can be changed
  • Item Auto Storage option added to Bag UI
  • Special effect displayed for certain reward drops from bosses
  • Extradimensional Visitors event
  • Champion Burning Double Up event
  • New Name Auction event, where dormant character names are auctioned and players cannot sell or register character names to be auctioned

2nd: Tallahart and Reboot World Changes II

  • New Area: Tallahart (Level 290+)
  • New Equipment: Grand Sacred Symbol
    • Offers increased Sacred Force but no main stats
    • Provides up to 50% EXP rate and up to 15% drop and meso rate
  • 2nd part of the Reboot World changes
  • Skill balancing changes for many jobs
  • DirectX 11 support
  • Job Growth Status UI in Character Select Window
  • Character Info UI reorganization including an improved design, and addition of Combat Power information
  • Special Nodes duration extension
  • Base drop rate increased to 500%
  • Level 100 Emblems for all jobs except Kaiser, Angelic Buster, and Xenon made purchasable from Neville
  • Certain boss reward mobs can be attacked using skills
  • Epic Dungeon: Angler Company stage improvements
  • Hyper Stat Level UI update, along with a Bulk Level Up feature
  • Combat Power increase information added to equipment item tooltips
  • Channel Change and Potential Reset UI updates

3rd: Azmoth Chasm and MapleStory x Dave the Diver

  • Azmoth Chasm, a new roguelike content providing more meso sources
  • New Monster Collection additions, as well as change of certain monster names and ranks
  • HP reduction by about 11% for Extreme Seren, Kalos (Chaos and Extreme), Kaling (Hard and Extreme), and Hard Limbo
  • Dave the Diver collaboration event
  • Dimensional Turmoil event
  • Dimensional Haunted Mansion event

4th: MapleStory x Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba

  • Azmoth Chasm changes
  • Demon Slayer collaboration event, including a temporary event job, Tanjiro Kamado
  • Extension of the Dave the Diver collaboration event with event achievements
  • Special World event
  • Treasure Coin Shop event
  • Dimensional Tower Season 1 event
  • What's NEXT event

Post-Chaser (MapleSEA)

As the Demon Slayer collaboration event was released back in September 2024, prior to its rollout of the Chaser Update, the content releases are modified as follows:

1st: Abyssal Expedition Season 4 - El Nath

The Demon Slayer collaboration event was brought forward as the first post-Chaser Update.

1st: MapleStory x Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba

  • New Monster Collection additions, as well as change of certain monster names and ranks
  • HP reduction by about 11% for Extreme Serene, Kalos (Chaos and Extreme), Carling (Hard and Extreme), and Hard Limbo
  • Red Moon Forest adjustments
  • Chaser Level Achievement rewards are now claimable
  • Demon Slayer collaboration event, including a temporary event job, Tanjiro Kamado
  • Champion Challenge event
  • Spigella's Golden Carriage event
  • [My Home] Spring event

In ChinaMS, the update also includes:

  • New World: Blue Snail
    • Recommended maps listed in Maple Guide that are Level 259 and lower are instanced, allowing a maximum of 15 players sharing an instanced map

In TaiwanMS, the update also includes:

  • New VIP System, replacing the existing MVP System
    • New ranks with additional benefits, including exclusive lounge rooms with similar features to the Guild Castle rooms
    • New items available to redeem, including 4x EXP coupons, Weekly and Monthly Boss Reset Tickets, Meso Cap Removal Tickets, and Firestarter coupons

2nd: Victoria Cup

  • [Daily Quest] Erda's Request changed to a weekly quest, offering both Sol Erda and Sol Erda Fragments
  • My Home update
    • New noticeboard showing neighbor NPC's birthdays and various in-game events
    • New furniture set, obtainable during a neighbor NPC's birthday
    • New boss furniture obtainable from Carling and Limbo (Normal and above)
  • Victoria Cup (Anniversary) event
    • Lord Balrog's World Challenge event

Post-The Dark Ride (GlobalMS)

The Dark Ride Update concluded with the release of Epic Dungeon: Angler Company. The contents released after The Dark Ride Update and before the NEXT Update are listed below.

1st: Tallahart: Grave of the Gods

3rd: Victoria Cup: 20th Anniversary

  • New Job: Mo Xuan, a Jianghu Pirate class[5]
  • New Area: Xuanshan, the starting area for Mo Xuan in Jianghu
  • Familiars Update: New Familiar Card drops in the remaining Continental Grandis areas
  • Fast Character Switch feature

Trivia

  • A number of regional differences came across with this post-update:
    • In Non-KoreaMS servers, all of the Fall 2024 Update balancing and changes were rolled out in the first part of the Chaser / The Dark Ride update.
    • In Non-KoreaMS servers, Azmoth Chasm was not released in this update and remained unavailable.
      • In KoreaMS, this was removed during the Crown Update, effectively retiring the dungeon before an overseas release.
      • In MapleSEA, this was initially announced to be made available beginning in the first quarter of 2025 in the Chaser Update Showcase, but this was delayed indefinitely without any further updates. Since KoreaMS removed the dungeon, this effectively meant that this would not be released in MapleSEA.
    • In GlobalMS, ChinaMS, and TaiwanMS, Dave the Diver collaboration event was delayed to the Post-NEXT / Stargazer Update.
