Tanjiro Kamado, or Tanjiro was a special event class released as part of an in-game collaboration with Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. He uses breathing techniques to train his body, allowing him to grow quickly. As a temporary job, it could be created for a limited time and was converted to an Explorer Hero (in non-KoreaMS servers) or was deleted (in KoreaMS) after the end of the event.

Story

Arriving at Maple World

Tanjiro, Nezuko, Inosuke, Zenitsu, and Kanao were originally on a mission, but they had lost their way and accidentally reached Maple World. They were shocked by the sight they've seen for the first time and speechless, and they also felt a warm and gentle atmosphere. Just then, an Explorer came by and asked where they were from. After further talks, Tanjiro learned about Maple World and the Explorer promised to help them to eventually return to their original world. In return, Tanjiro also introduced training courses of Demon Slayer Corps to Explorers who want to become stronger.

Exploration in Ellin Forest

While exploring the Maple World and finding out clue of returning to original world, Tanjiro came to Ellin Forest with Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Inosuke. Tanjiro learned it was the past scenes of Victoria Island, that shrouded in a dark atmosphere due to the fall of Ephenia.

Exploration in Temple of Time

Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Inosuke gathered at Temple of Time. They were shocked by the fact that past, present, and future coexist. After learning actions in the past world will have a significant impact on future, Tanjiro determined to become stronger.

Exploration in Vanishing Journey

Like all other explorers who silently walk on their own path, Tanjiro was also walking on his path. With a small hope in his heart that he might be able to return his original world, he was determined to go all out and explore the Maple World.

Returning to original world

Although he somehow came to Maple World that had nothing to do with him, Tanjiro explored this place more diligently than anyone else. He reflected on his explorations so far while renewing his determination to return to his original world. He realized that Maple World is a place full of danger and challenges, but also of kindness. He vowed to devote all his energy to exploring Maple World until the time came for him to return to his own world.

Trivia

• Tanjiro Kamado is a character from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. All of his skills are based on his Fighting Styles in original work.
• Similar to Pink Bean and Yeti, Tanjiro Kamado has no job advancements, and does not gain SP for skills, instead they are unlocked at specific levels.
• Unlike other permanent classes, Tanjiro doesn't have his own dialogue during Black Heaven, Vanishing Journey, and Aftermath/The Day After. Grand Athenaeum is inaccessible for him.
• In non-KoreaMS servers, Tanjiro has the following characteristics:
  • Unlike Pink Bean and Yeti, Tanjiro character can be created in Regular Worlds and Reboot Worlds. In Regular Worlds, Tanjiro characters can trade with other players, access Auction House, access Meso Market, and access the storage.
  • Tanjiro doesn't have a Link Skill and Legion effect, but players can assign Link Skills from other characters in same world to Tanjiro.
  • Tanjiro cannot do Genesis Weapon Liberation Quests.
  • Tanjiro has the following EXP multipliers until Level 259, depending on the servers:
    • In JapanMS, and GlobalMS: 1,200% Bonus EXP
    • In MapleSEA, ChinaMS, and TaiwanMS: 1,600% Bonus EXP
  • After the end of the event, Tanjiro characters are converted to Explorer Hero, the appearance of Tanjiro disappears, and converted characters will be teleported to Henesys.
    • If the character is Level 200 or higher, 5th Job Advancement quests are automatically completed after conversion, with 5 extra Nodestones and 4 V Skills given, and Explorer's Journal Achievement will be unlocked automatically, even if the account does not have any Explorer classes.
• In KoreaMS, Tanjiro has the following characteristics:
  • Similar to Pink Bean and Yeti, Tanjiro can be only created in Special Worlds. Maps in Special Worlds are instanced and allowing at most 15 players sharing an instanced map at same time. Tanjiro characters from other players are disguised.
  • Since Tanjiro is only available in Special Worlds, players are unable to assign Link Skills from other characters.
  • Tanjiro characters are deleted after the end of the event.
  • Level requirements of Tanjiro's skills are adjusted.
  • Tanjiro has a 1,000% Bonus EXP multiplier until Level 259.
