World Archive

A magical kingdom located in the southern part of the Minar Forest. It vanished hundreds of years ago and has only recently been seen again. For some reason, its inhabitants are unaware of the passage of time.

Kritias is an area in Ossyria's Minar Forest region. Learn about the kingdom that has suddenly appeared near Leafre, where its castle floats upside down in the kingdom's sky, and why it has appeared.

This region can be accessed on foot via Sky Nest I near Leafre. It is divided into three sections: Forest of Pain, Forest of Laments, and Forest of Sorrows. The monsters here consist of either flying weapons or magicians, and has been sent to the future because of a disaster.

Completing the questline will unlock Weekly Quests which reward  Anti-magic Stone Pieces and  Anti-magic Stones, that can be exchanged for both  Anheim Coins and  Kritias Commemorative Coins by talking to Levian. These coins can be used to purchase various Boss Reset Tickets and various other items from Keilbarren.

Following Kritias' reappearance, Neinheart sent an Alliance member to investigate its return. The Alliance member learned that the people of Kritias had been frozen in time for centuries, unaware that any time had passed at all since the Black Mage and his Commanders had invaded long ago. Floating in the sky was the castle of Trueffet, which had been transformed into a large golem, as well as disembodied weapons that represented people's darkest emotions. While investigating Kritias, the Alliance member began searching for the princess, whose identity was being kept secret for her protection. After a long search, the Alliance member was finally able to meet the princess, Ione de Kritias, who revealed that her father, King Hekaton, had gone missing after the Black Mage's invasion, and that a large pentacle had been created with the castle of Trueffet.

The Alliance member began investigating the nature of the pentacle and, after speaking with several townspeople, they discovered that the pentacle had been created by King Hekaton for a ritual intended to steal immortality from a mysterious girl who had been captured for experimentation after she had survived a large anti-magic stone explosion. One mage of Kritias revealed that many monstrous creations had been born from the inhumane experiments, and that the Black Mage had likely been drawn to Kritias after the failed ritual in order to capture the girl. With no trace of the girl remaining in Kritias, the Alliance member returned to Neinheart, who decided to continue forward with their other operations, in hope that they would be able to pick up the trail in the future.

Trivia

• Kritias has a similar name to Critias, which is one of Plato's dialogue.
• Formerly, Kritias Invasion and the Hekaton Boss Battle were available here as well, but these were both removed from the game.
