A land of the past dwelling in the shade of Helios Tower. The small village of hanok houses is home to a group of dark-haired, dark-eyed humans. Looking closely, they seem strangely familiar...

Korean Folk Town is a theme dungeon in Ossyria's Ludus Lake region. It is a town based off traditional Korean folk stories. There is a library located at the bottom of Helios Tower, where the contents of the storybooks come alive. Wiz the Librarian is having trouble getting the stories straight after the 7 Stones of Korean Folk Town (loosely based on the 7 Deadly Sins) were stolen 2 years prior and used to corrupt the residents. He asks you and his assistant Moni to help Chumji set things right.

This region can be accessed on foot via a well in the top right of The Sharp Unknown in Aquarium's east sea (which can be accessed via the Dolphin in Aquarium for 1,000 Mesos), or by descending down Ludibrium's Helios Tower. It is surrounded by Black Mountain to the west and Ghost Park to the east. The final boss for this area is an enraged King Goblin who has used the Stones to get revenge for his presumed-dead friend the Nine-Tailed Fox; Goblin cannot be fought again after completing the questline.

Completing the questline will reward the Medal  Like Clouds and Winds and the Book  Korean Folktale: 7 Gemstones. In addition seven Wanted signs can be found around the area, which each grant Mesos and EXP after hunting their listed monsters.

Trivia

• Before the Big Bang Update, KoreaMS originally had several World Tour areas, namely Zipangu, The Far East, Taiwan, and Thailand. In 2009, KoreaMS removed these areas and added some of the field bosses to certain locations in Maple World. Blue Mushmom, originally from Zipangu's Mushroom Shrine, was placed in Korean Folk Town, with the original Monster Book description reading as follows:

• Maybe it's because Mushmoms always prefer to be indoors. Who knows? In any case, the Blue Mushmoms have found a new house to inhabit. But they picked the wrong house! The Goblins of Korean Folk Town are having a heck of a time dealing with the Blue Mushmoms who have suddenly taken over their home. The Blue Mushmoms don't give a hoot about the King Goblins' nagging. They adore their newfound dilapidated home.

After the Big Bang Update, Blue Mushmom was removed from Korean Folk Town and added to Henesys.

• Prior to the area's temporary closure in the You & I / Rising Heroes Update, this area had a different questline where the Helios Tower Library was severely damaged in a dimensional rift from Ludibrium, and Wiz the Librarian enlists the player's help to investigate and recover the twisted stories that have resulted from this disaster. The questline involved and rewarded 8 different storybooks (which could be kept at the end of their respective quests, or exchanged with Wiz for 30  Melting Cheese), as well as a choice between the Hat  Goblin Cap, the Cape  Goblin Cape, and the One-handed Blunt Weapon  Goblin Bat. Nearly all of these of were removed from the content with the town's reopening in the Reboot Update, though Le Petit Prince's storybook remains as a Nihal Desert questline.
  • The Goblin Bat was also later added to the shop of Tatsu in Ninja Castle, allowing it to still be obtained.
