A desert town whose culture revolves around the study of alchemy. Two alchemist societies, Zenumist and Alcadno, are in conflict there.

Magatia is an area in Ossyria's Nihal Desert region. It is a town built in the desert where alchemists reside, but there is a dispute between the two alchemy factions: the Zenumists who use pure magic and science in alchemy, and the Alcadnos who add machinery into life forms. Players come here to settle the dispute and end up learning about the origins of the alchemy serving as the town's foundation. The Romeo and Juliet Party Quest is located near this area.

This region can be accessed on foot via Sahel 1 near the Sunset Road connecting Ariant and Magatia, as well as via the Camel Cab in Ariant for 1,500 Mesos. It is generally divided into two sections: Zenumist Research Institute and Alcadno Research Institute, with a secret laboratory connecting the two that is unlocked as you progress through the questline.

Completing the main Magatia's Secret questline will reward the Medal  Magatia's Alchemist. A few field bosses can be encountered here: Rurumo, an enhanced Rumo that roams the Zenumist Society, Security Camera, which patrols the Alcadno Society for trespassers, and Chimera, a strange fusion of both Zenumist's and Alcadno's alchemy.

An Alliance member traveled to Magatia, where they learned that the town of alchemists was divided into two warring factions - the traditionalist Zenumists, who believed in pure life alchemy, and the maverick Alcadno, who incorporated technology into their research. While learning more about both societies, the traveler learned about an incident which had taken place several years ago, which had resulted in the disappearance of the famous Alcadno scientist Dr. De Lang and the rupture of the Magic Pentacle supporting the city from underground. As both societies were covering up the truth, the Alliance member began to research more about Dr. De Lang and discovered that he had been attempting to extend his own life after fearing that he would die long before his fairy wife, Phyllia, and their half-fairy daughter. As a result, he had soon stumbled across a mysterious laboratory deep beneath Magatia, which had once belonged to the Black Mage himself. After learning that the Black Mage's forbidden research was the foundation for modern-day alchemy in Magatia, Dr. De Lang - despite knowing that the Black Mage was an evil being - had used his life alchemy research for an experiment to extend his own lifespan. Having discovered the secret of Magatia, the Alliance member traveled to the Black Mage's laboratory and helped the alchemists repair the broken Magic Pentacle that sustained the city. With Magatia safe once again, the Alliance member continued investigating Dr. De Lang's fate and learned that his experiment had resulted in him being transformed into the mechanical Humanoid A, successfully extending his lifespan at the cost of losing his humanity and his memories of his wife and daughter.

Trivia

• Prior to the You & I / Rising Heroes Update, completing the Romeo and Juliet Party Quest and receiving the good ending would unlock various questlines in Magatia, such as Keeny asking you to receive the blueprint for Frankenroid from Yulete, assisting Yulete with his experiments, and helping Romeo and Juliet confess their love to each other.
  • Despite the removal of these questlines in the You & I / Rising Heroes Update, players that satisfied these conditions beforehand can still access Yulete's Lab from one of the sewers in town.
