NEXT (or Stargazer in GMS) is an update following Milestone. The update includes new HEXA Mastery Nodes, as well as many user experience and quality of life improvements, such as Genesis Weapon Liberation quest improvements, keyboard shortcut improvements, a new Skill Sequence system, as well as movement convenience improvements. In Non-GlobalMS servers[1], the update also includes a new Legion Champion system, a new Level 290+ boss Baldrix, and a new Level 250 Destiny Weapon tier.
There are regional differences between the rollout of the update. In all servers other than KoreaMS and GlobalMS, the update also includes various content released in the 22nd Anniversary Update in KoreaMS, such as various UI revamps as well as skill balancing for all classes. In GlobalMS, the update includes a new job, Sia Astelle as well as a new Erda Link system. In MapleSEA and JapanMS, the update includes a new VIP System replacing the existing MVP System, which was initially introduced in TaiwanMS in the previous Chaser Update. In ChinaMS and TaiwanMS, the update includes a new boss, Malitia, first introduced in Red Moon Forest. In JapanMS, the update includes Red Moon Forest, which was initially introduced in ChinaMS and TaiwanMS in the previous Chaser Update.
Original (KoreaMS)
1st: New HEXA Mastery Nodes and QoL Improvements
- 3rd and final part of the Reboot World changes, fully converting them into Regular Worlds as Eos and Helios Worlds respectively
- New 3rd and 4th HEXA Mastery Nodes for every class
- Cross World Auction House and Meso Market
- Shared between all regular worlds except Eos and Helios Worlds
- Equipment and cash items purchasable in the Auction House from other worlds, subject to a Maple Point fee

- Epic Dungeons can be completed on up to 2 characters per week (one per Epic Dungeon) per Maple ID

- Sol Erda conversion system, where it can be converted to 30 Faint Sol Erda Energies transferable between characters, or to a HEXA Booster, which works similar to a VIP Booster

- Removal of Cross, the boss from the Cross Brigade content, with items dropped being sold at Monster Park shop instead

- Prerequisite quest simplification, including addition of boss cutscene skip function
- Higher HP with changes to monster drops and items sold in shops

3rd: UI Revamps, Skill Balancing, and Star Force Reorganization
Various quality of life improvements introduced in the 4th part of the KoreaMS NEXT and all of 22nd Anniversary Updates are rolled out in this part of the update. In addition, the update also includes:
- Major UI revamps including Login, Main Menu, Equipment, Inventory, Alerts, and Cash Shop
- Hammer System remains available and renamed to Enhancement Count Increase, though Golden Hammers removed with all available Scroll usages increased by 1[10]
- Skill balancing for all jobs including Kanna and Hayato, changing 3-minute skill cycles to 2-minute skill cycles
- 3rd HEXA Stat Core available for Level 270+ characters, requiring 2nd Hexa Stat Core to be Level 20
- Star Force Enhancement reorganization, similar to the changes introduced in KoreaMS with changes to account for server differences
- Existing 23+★ items have their enhancements adjusted by 2★ (23★ → 25★, 24★ → 26★, 25★ → 27★), with increased scaling to the corresponding Star Force
- New Sunday Maple effects

- Existing 23+★ items have their enhancements adjusted by 2★ (23★ → 25★, 24★ → 26★, 25★ → 27★), with increased scaling to the corresponding Star Force
- Success rate adjustments at certain Star Force Enhancements
- Removal of ability to use Maple Points for enhancements, as previously Maple Points can be used to safeguard enhancements up to 25★

In GlobalMS, the major update is instead named as Stargazer. A new job previously released for MapleStory M, Sia Astelle, the Star Guardian, is added in this update.

- New Area: Oort, the starting area for Sia Astelle

- In KoreaMS, this is the update that includes the last part of the conversion of Reboot Worlds into Regular Worlds. All updates from this point will no longer have any Reboot Worlds.
- In KoreaMS, the theme songs of this update are NEXT ONE and NEXT TO, and the singer is Ha Hyun-woo (KR: 하현우).
- The instrumental version of NEXT ONE was temporarily used as the Login BGM in the first part of the update.
- In KoreaMS, to further alleviate increasing population pressure in Continental Grandis maps, the maximum number of players that can share an instanced map is temporarily increased to 4 players.
- This was initially introduced during the second part of the New Age Update with a cap of 2 players sharing each map, and has remained as such until in between of the third and fourth parts of this update.[20]

- Quality of life improvement changes introduced in the first 3 parts of the update were consolidated and rolled out in the first part of the update.
- The following features were not implemented in this update:
- Maple Home system, due to an already existing Home system introduced before this update.
- Maple Hands+ Auction House feature, due to the app only available for KoreaMS.
- In some Non-KoreaMS servers, parts of this update were added in the previous Milestone / Chaser Update:
- In TaiwanMS and JapanMS, the conversion of Reboot Worlds into Regular Worlds was completed during the third part of the Chaser Update.
- In ChinaMS and TaiwanMS, Hyper Burning MAX event was rolled out in the first part of the Chaser Update.
- In MapleSEA and GlobalMS, the 3rd and 4th mastery nodes were delayed to the second part of the update. In JapanMS, these nodes were released a few weeks after the first part of the update.
- In GlobalMS, Star Force Reorganization was delayed to the Every Little Thing, Every Precious Thing Update due to changes in obtaining and restoring equipment introduced during that update.
