Trivia

  • Server Naming Difference
    • GMS: Ride The Lightning
    • MSEA/TMS/JMS: Crown
    • CMS: 王冠 (Crown)
  • As of this update, both Kinesis and Kanna use MP as energy gauge instead of their respective special energy gauges.
  • In KoreaMS, Genesis Pass did not return for this update due to game economy issues, as stated during the KoreaMS Crown Showcase.
    • In Non-KoreaMS servers, Genesis Pass returned in this update.
  • In GlobalMS, a Public Test Server was made available to test and report bugs on incoming content related to this update.
  • A number of regional differences came across with this update:
    • The MapleStory x Frieren collaboration event was handled differently depending on the server:
      • In JapanMS, this was released in the Post-NEXT Update with additional events associated with the collaboration.
      • In KoreaMS, this was released in this update, though it was only cosmetic items for sale with no additional events.
      • In MapleSEA and TaiwanMS, this will be released in the Post-Crown Update.
    • In Non-KoreaMS servers, the following differences apply, with some notable exceptions:
      • Guild Castle was added before this update. This was initially introduced in ChinaMS and TaiwanMS, before expanding to the other Non-KoreaMS servers.
      • Wild Hunter job revamp, which was released in the Post-Assemble Update in KoreaMS, was released upon rollout of this update.
      • Quality of life improvements introduced in the first part of the KoreaMS 23rd Anniversary / Post-Crown Update were released upon rollout of this update.
        • In GlobalMS, this was not released in this update, and is likely to be released in the Post-Ride The Lightning Update, similar to KoreaMS.
      • Azmoth Chasm was not available, hence the removal of such content was omitted.
        • In GlobalMS, Azmoth Chasm Monsterblooms were introduced even though Azmoth Chasm was not available.
      • Meso Shop items were more limited than in KoreaMS, with notable omissions include Mechaberry Farm tickets as well as various cosmetic items.
        • In GlobalMS and JapanMS, Mechaberry Farm tickets remained available for purchase from the Meso Shop.
      • MapleStory Collection Cards were not available for purchase.
        • In TaiwanMS, this was made available for purchase and included all overseas classes.

        • Level 3 unlocks at Level 210 instead of Level 285.
        • Certain Link Skills were already at Level 3 before the update.
        • Every Link Skill upgrade requires the corresponding character providing the Link Skill to be at least Level 210, instead of a choice of any Link Skill via Proof of a Radiant Hero item.
