Item Pot was a feature of Professions that allowed one to raise Imps to obtain random items. Players could occasionally find Imps while harvesting, with Orange Imps and Gemstone Imps available from Herbalism and Mining respectively. Certain events also had special creatures that could be raised, which were much faster to level in comparison. The Item Pot button was available at the bottom of the Inventory UI, allowing players to view the level and conditions of any Imps that were being raised.

To raise an Imp, players could feed it Leftovers or Equipment until it reached 200 Fullness, after which it would fall asleep for 20 hours. Upon waking up, its level would increase and it would become hungry again. If an Imp became sick, you could purchase an Imp Disease Cure from Nack in Ardentmill. If the Imp was neglected by letting its fullness drop below 0 or by not curing it when sick, its level would decrease and it would eventually die.

Other items could be placed in the Item Pot to further help the growth and development of your imps. The Jukebox would put the adjacent Imp to sleep for three more days, the Alarm Clock would awaken the Imp after 30 minutes, the Triangular Rice Ball would feed the Imp for the next 12 meals, and the Pounding Heart would increase the Imp's closeness by 10.

Once the Imp was fully grown, it will give a reward depending on the type of Imp and its closeness; Orange Imps could give a fruit and Gemstone Imps could give a diamond that each contained various rewards, including special Herbalism Tools and Mining Tools.

It was available in all servers, but it was removed from the game as of the Assemble / Every Little Thing Every Precious Thing Update. With its removal, Swift, Frantic, and Enraged Weapons are now dropped by certain mobs. Additionally, the Herbalism Tools and Mining Tools that were obtainable are now sold by Nack in Ardentmill.
