Planet Cerberus was the tutorial area for Jett, where Jett lived with her adoptive brother and best friend Burke. After Jett failed the royal guard entrance test, Burke and Jett would lead a group of intergalactic bounty hunters, where Jett's family heirloom the Core would greatly increase Jett's power. During a mission, the crew captured a group of criminals, one of whom declared that Burke's crew was nothing without the Core. Burke became increasingly jealous of the Core's power, wishing that he was able to make use of it instead of Jett. After an argument with Jett, Burke received a transmission from one of the Black Wings in Maple World, asking Burke to bring Jett and the Core to Maple World to revive their master. To do so, Burke disguised himself as Jett and assassinated the King of Cerberus. Jett, realizing she was now a wanted criminal, escaped to Maple World and crash-landed their ship near the Nautilus. Burke would then steal the Core and attack Jett, knocking her unconscious. Kyrin and Black Bark, who were nearby, rescued her and brought her on board the Nautilus. They gave her a Core Fragment that was discovered in the wreckage and offered to help Jett get back on her feet.

The area, along with Jett, existed in GlobalMS and JapanMS. As of mid 2023, support for Jett has been discontinued, and new Jett characters can no longer be created. Planet Cerberus was removed from the game as a result, though the Spaceship Cockpit can still be visited by players that previously had it in the Saved Maps list of a Hyper Teleport Rock, the Planet is also still mentioned in the New Leaf City questline.
