The Cave of Life Party Quest, colloquially referred to as the Horntail Party Quest, was a Party Quest located in Leafre's Cave of Life at the end of the Dragon Canyon. Completing this Party Quest would lead up to the fight with Horntail. To enter, players would have to complete a quest from Moira requiring you to gather a few materials to create a Dragon Elixir that would transform the player into a Green Cornian, fooling Keroben the guard and allowing entry inside. An additional quest allowed players to collect certificates from monsters inside the Party Quest, as well as from Zakum, Pianus, and Papulatus, to obtain a Certificate of the Dragon Squad which would allow players to skip this Party Quest altogether and go straight to Horntail.

The Party Quest, which required 6 players, would have 5 players advance throughout and leave 1 player behind in the first room. The advancing players would obtain keys in the subsequent rooms and drop them onto special portals, sending the keys back to the first room for the last player to give to the Stump and allow the rest of the party to proceed. After a few stages, the party would reunite and be sent to the Cave of Choice. Here, a player would hit a light bulb to change its color and determine whether the next stage would be a Cave of Light or Darkness. Afterward, the party would have to gather 6 keys from the monsters inside to proceed to Horntail. In the Cygnus Returns Update Part 4: Blaze Wizard, the number of required party members was reduced from 6 to 2, the Dragon Elixir quest could be completed instantly without gathering any materials, and the Certificate of the Dragon Squad was given instantly without needing to gather any certificates.

This Party Quest was available in all servers, but it has been removed from the game. In 2024, the Certificate requirement was removed altogether.
