Nice work!

Hi! I like your contribution to the wiki. For the maps, please do not add the street names to the title, as in: Street name : Map name, because the Street name is already in the table. I do not want the wiki to be very messy.

Take that aside, I hope you can help me construct this wiki. A lot of contributors left because of the new mandatory skin, and occasionally someone would make edits. Most of the time, I was the only contributor to contribute to the wiki. Now that you have come, I guess this wiki would be complete in no time!

Hi Sewil...

I can see that you are having good intentions with this wiki, but the template editing, the way I see it, is not necessary. Instead, you have to edit all the other pages that use the template, and it would be tiring.

Extractor

Well, the extractor works for me but i need a long,long time to extract the whole thing though...

Well, the version I extracted was GMS1.03 (maybe the codes changed)

First you'll need to check if you'd downloaded the file correctly.(check the file size)(i had to download the extractor 2 times because the files were corrupted the first time)

You can download the file anywhere you want(extracted items will be place in /extract folder)

then, you need to direct the software to Global Maple's "Base.wz" file.

wait for a while then everything comes out, click on extras>extract everything to disk.

wait

If a problem comes out while extracting, just click "quit" and manual extract the others.(oh wait, if you want to save it in your computer, click "extract img"

That's all that i know.

Well, you should try to re-download it again, run it as admin, or use it on another computer. Maybe the problem you got is a JIT debugging message, something similar to this:

Actually, I extracted the global 1.03 (because maplesea didn't work) and opened base.wz just from "File>Open"

Second, you can put wzextract.exe anywhere you want (except that the folder you put wzextract.exe will have a new folder called "extract"

Extractor help & functions

Hi Sewil!

The extractor has a lot of functions, the ones Kwongtungnan told you are just a few. You can set the extractor so that whenever you load the .wz files, the open window will show that default folder you set it to, so it will be much less of a hassle. You can also set the default folder for the images to be extracted to as well.

The 'extract.img' function is to extract everything on that node, which makes your computer run very slow. However, if you just want a few specific images, just click on the image and it will be saved to that default folder. Also, you can also load other .wz files, not just Base.wz (it takes lesser time to load specific files instead of Base.wz because Base.wz loads everything).

If you're having problems with the extractor, check the file size of the file that you downloaded. If it matches with the one on the site, you're good to go. If you're still having problems, check that you have Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 installed. If you do not have, download it here.

EDIT: This extractor works with all versions of MapleStory except MapleSEA, because the key to decrypt its files are too complicated to be coded.

Equip and Item templates

I noticed that there was an issue with the Equip template and the scroll box wouldn't work inside of the page. There is also a sort of jagged edge to the right side. The item template doesn't have these issues and I wondered if there was a reason the equip template had these issues

About the quest dialog box, could you just crop the quest box?(i mean, without cropping the window itself) and use paint to copy the color below and paste it up so that they don't see the time completed?

like the equips( chaos zakum helmet) use (mana 10000) etc (ores, plates) set-ups (extractor)

Trying to Fix Confusion

Recently, they have revealed the "Alliance Rising" patch, and it is getting confused with Advance of the Union. I tried to stop the confusion by editing it out of the page, but this doesn't work. Is there a way to do it? Even if they are combining updates, this hasn't been confirmed, and this patch is not doing anything that happens in the first patch of Advance of the Union. We have a problem. The new boss run is in allince update, not legends for GMS. The update also changes the silent crusade.

Re: Quitting MapleStory, resigning

The level cap increase has pretty much killed the game for most of us, hasn't it? Nexon hasn't been able to produce quality patches, and their 'massive updates' is just revamping old classes. I, myself, have already moved to another game, which explains my infrequent activity nowadays.
